Too expensive

For what I paid, which was too much, I could have stayed down on Michigan. Room was okay, if I was paying about 1/4 of what I paid. It was to late by the time I checked in, visiting family, to find something else. Look someplace else, this was a rent by the week place at one time from what I could tell. Bathroom was unacceptable!

Nice staff, close to plenty of restaurants and stores. The room was a little snug but good for the price. Staff was great and valley was great.

Thank you for the feedback. We appreciate you taking time to share your experience. Please note, the hotel has several room types ranging from standards with full beds to business class with king beds. On your next visit, we suggest the latter; it is the most popular room type. You will find it is quite spacious, and it includes a microwave, mini fridge and complimentary snacks. Best,

great location, close to the metro station

Pros: clean, comfortable bed, friendly staff
Cons: bigger breakfast room?
Location: walked home from wrigley field after a cubes game! easy access to downtown via the metro train!
i came to Lincoln Park to visit my son who attends De Paul Univ., this location was perfect for great restaurants within walking distance, metro station is just a few blocks away that can take you downtown in minutes. i would definitely return.

Beautiful hotel for this first-timer to Chicago!

Pros: Very comfortable, clean, great location.
We really enjoyed staying here. It was a very comfortable room (we stayed in a business room)--spacious, super comfortable beds, and very bright. The staff were helpful with all of my questions about how to get around town. There are never-ending shops and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. Breakfast was a little sparse on protein options (very carb-heavy with waffles, donuts and bagels), but there's also a Trader Joe's right across the street if you need a little something more.

Great place for Cubs game stay

Pros: Clean and convenient to Wrigley
Cons: breakfast area
Location: Lots to do! Lincoln Park zoo, Wrigley, shopping, bars etc.
Nice, clean, friendly hotel. Rooms were nice and clean, a little on the small side but great for overnighter for Cubs game. The breakfast room didn't have much seating and we had to let staff know coffee was out.

Close to Wrigley, Downtown, public transportation

First time visiting Chicago. Nice hotel, great staff, better breakfast than I anticipated. Within walking distance of Wrigley, Downtown, train from Midway stop about 10 min away. Fair amount of baseball fans on game day. Excellent location.

Mixed bag!

Two night stay, please be aware when booking that when we called directly and asked about parking we were told it was free, upon arrival we found out it was $26 a night. My husband was rudely informed that no Days Inn staff would ever tell anyone they had free parking.  Also they don't tell you about the incidentals surcharge it's a $100 cash, or if charged $140.  You don't get the cash back upon check out if you paid in cash, they'll refund it back to your card and it can take 5 business days. This was also not mentioned when we called and made our arrangements. We were told we had queen beds when in fact they were more like double beds.  After all that hoopla once we were finally checked in the change over staff was very helpful with directions. The room was clean. It is in a great location and we were able to walk many of the places or take a short bus or train ride any where we wished to visit.

Dear Kanikki, Thank you for choosing to stay with us and taking the time to share your comments. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed our helpful staff and exciting Lincoln Park location near public transportation. We apologize for the confusion experienced during your stay. Unfortunately, parking presents a difficulty in any major city, and for this reason we are happy to offer convenient valet parking at an economical rate of $26 per night. The incidental hold you mention is not a charge, it is simply an authorization on a credit card, or a $100 cash deposit which is refunded in cash upon your departure after housekeeping does a brief inspection of your room to assure that there were no damages. If held on a credit card, the incidental hold amount varies depending on the number of nights a guest is staying, and is released upon a guest's departure from the hotel. The guest will see this authorization fall off their card within a few business days. Again, we do apologize that you had a less than excellent experience at our hotel, and we hope that you will give us a second chance should your travels bring you back to Chicago.
