Ok value for money, but would not stay again

Cons: Poor breakfast, pool not in order
This hotel needs major updating, there was no pool, there was a bloody booger stuck to the wall, the clock and phone did not work. At breakfast time, the attendant did not know how to make more coffee.

Filthy

We stayed at the hotel this weekend. It is filthy and poorly maintained. Sign states, "Newly Remodled." Fresh paint outside only. Would not recommend.

Worn out building

All the staff that we had contact with were attentive and helpful. The building showed poor maintenance. The building and the room were clean but looked run down, not due to age but due to inappropriate "fixes". The front door frames of anodized aluminun were painted gloss black with runs and brush marks. Walls and doors had knap for the rollers imbedded giving them a dirty look. The elevator door had been very poorly spray painted with yellow paint. Bathroom fixtures were mounted with incorrect hardware and so looked tacky.

Avoid at all cost

This hotel was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I used 3 gift cards to pay for the room which amount to approximately $10 over the total amount of the room. I was not given the option to use 2 of the cards and pay cash for the remainer but was told that they can not give me cash back from the gift cards. The rooms were so filthy and old. I was told it was a non smoking hotel but the bathroom had a number of cigarette burns in the sink, bathtub, and counter top. There was mildew around the bathroom and the room smelled musty. The screen on the window was broken and torn so we could not open the window to get fresh air. One of the reasons that we picked this hotel was because it had a pool, so we put on our swimsuits go down to the pool. It was so cold, your toes ached because of the temperature. So we noticed on the wall was the termometer which was flashing service needed. So we go out and tell the front desk, she did not care. The next day we go back to see if anything was fixed and sure enough light still flashing. Very dissappointing! I asked the front desk for a place to eat breakfast because the complimentary breakfast only had donuts and cereal, unfortunately they ran out of waffle mix and syrup days before. Anyways, 2 of the front staff were having unkind words to each other and when I excused myself for directions I was yelled at with a "WHAT". I have never had such rude service in my life. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Save yourself some money, go elsewhere.

Absolutely Not- Avoid

Avoid this hotel at all costs. We checked in and then checked out within 10 minutes. It is an old, dirty hotel with scarily unknowledgeable staff. The building is in great disrepair: broken window screens, lobby smelled like cigarettes, dirty sheets when we pulled back the covers, damaged carpet, all around old and dingy. My husband said he did not feel safe having us stay there. When we checked out, there was no manager on duty. The front desk person was completely lost and kept leaving people waiting at the desk while he walked away to check things upstairs. In addition, we have been fighting them over a refund because the conditions were absolutely unacceptable and they have NOT been cooperative thus far. Save yourself the hassle and stay elsewhere. I can't believe anyone would have given this hotel a positive review..it's a joke.

Great stay and Great staff

Really enjoyed the experience from the moment I stepped into the hotel, It smelled wonderful. They let me check in way earlier and asked me to get some breakfast before they picked up their free continental breakfast for the day. particularly enjoyed the fact that they had a pool that was well kept with an exercise facility. Wireless interntet was available throughout the hotel and they also received faxes and sent a couple of my faxes for free. They had a business area where I Could print up my directions. Housekeeping did a good job of not disturbing my kids and came back when we asked them to and they did a great job. I was very impressed expecially because they were the lowest in town and I dont think I would have gotten a better service at any other nearby hotel. I really enjoyed my stay there and would definitely go back if I was in that area agian.

I would rather stay somewhere else!

When I went to check into this hotel the front desk agent, didn't have any idea about my reservation. Then he gave me my key to my room, as he took my id and credit card, he said it would be about 10 min then he would come up to my room to have me sign the paperwork, since he said he needed to do the Night Audit, before he checked me in. I was very uncomfortable about doing this, but it was about 20-25 min later when he finally came to my door with the paperwork and gave me back my id and card. The room when I got in it was like 30 degrees, I was FREEZING instantly, and turned on the heat, as high as it could go, and jumped into bed and got under the covers, but was cold all night, so I didn't sleep very well. The beds are old and are worn, you can tell the mattresses need to be replaced, mine was very sunken in, in the middle of the bed, and the pillows could definately also be upgraded they were flat and no support and or comfort. I do work at a hotel, not going to mention the name and I would've rather gotten our employee discount card and made a reservation to stay at one of the hotels in our chain, however that has to be done in advance through a manager, so i was unable to do that and that is why I chose this hotel, not bad, but not recommended unless you are just going to sleep and leaving in the morning, and don't really care about the room and or how the hotel is.
