I have stayed here many times. This time i stayed two nights and had to have maintenence in my room both nights. The furst night my phone didnt work and my furnace was on ac and ut was 58 degrees in my room. I did nit have an option to change it to heat. The maintenance man came and got it on furnace. I set it for 66 degrees as i am a cardiav patient and cannot tolerate heat. It would nit stop warming up the room, and when i git back from Mayo Clinic, it was 74 degrees and getting warmer. Another maintenance man was sent to my room and was able to fix it so it stayed at the temp it was set on. The majority of my time there, the room was either freezing or very warm. I expected better with the fee i paid. I have more appointments and a surgery scheduled and am nit sure i will risk that issue again by staying at the Kahler, even though it is my hotel of choice in Rochester. Thank you. Cindy Cain

The room was fairly spacious, very clean, very comfortable, and seemed modernized. The bathroom was a very nice size. It was quiet and the hotel's location is probably the best for Mayo Clinic. I didn't need to go outside for days (it was -0 outside so this was a big deal). The hotel lobby and common areas are VERY dated. This was an issue for much of Rochester but I hear they intend to work on this. Mayo Clinic on the other hand is very modern and runs like a well-oiled machine. I was charged twice for Valet parking despite only using it once so make sure and review your receipt.
