Charlotte trip

Pros: Outstanding from arrival to departure.
Location: Near to everything in Charlotte. Had dinner at the Blackfinn Restaurant. WOW great food and great service. Charlotte does it right! Cant wait trip.
Sometimes its the little things... After arriving at the hotel I discovered that the cord to recharge my phone was not working. On my way to the restaurant for breakfast, I checked with the concierge and although they didn't have a spare cord readily available, they suggested that I get seated at the restaurant and enjoy the start of my day. I was not certain that they would make the effort to locate a cord for me. But 20 minutes later the manager found me, plugged it the phone and my phone was charging. Some people might think that this is no big deal as far as service goes. and maybe it isn't. But when you add up all the great service (big and small) that the staff provides, it adds up to outstanding service and happy travelers. Thank you staff! Mr Lorenz

Pros: The best for one who paid both the hotel and Travelocity
Cons: Geeze, can you read?
I arrived at Ballantyne having paid for my hotel stay with you, Travelocity. The hotel had no record of my reservation. They did accept me for a one night stay. Of course I paid Ballantyne for that one night stay. And of course I also paid you, Travelocity, for a one night stay. At least Ballantyne gave me the wedding rate which was impossible for me to request on your on line reservation form. I was sorely voided off with the necessity of paying both Ballantyne and Travelocity for the same room. Why does not Travelocity make wedding reservation a possible selection? On the way home, I arrived 4 hours early and went to Gate 31 as instructed by the American Airlines check-in counter and the video screen departure list. I checked the video screen every 30 minutes and there was no change, departure Gate 31. Then at at 2030 the American Airlines gate attendant informed me the flight departed Gate 21. So a night in Airport Quality Inn.

Trip to Charlotte

We were in town for a soccer game and decided to stay outside Charlotte at the Ballantyne. The hotel was in a great location - lots of restaurants and retail close by. Easy to get to and from Charlotte. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We weren't in town long but absolutely enjoyed our stay here.

Quick parents wknd out

They did not have the room we paid for. We were given a handicap room behind the elevators just about in the lobby on the first floor. We asked to be moved and were given the same room on the 7th floor. Also handicapped and behind the elevator. We were supposed to have a separate shower and soaking tub. Needless to say, we didn't get it, and no apologies whatsoever from the staff. The spa was the highlight of our trip, and after a few treatments we decided to order room service. We were disappointed with the selection and lack of gluten-free choices. The order taker was not knowledgable about the menu items and had to put us on hold just to check the daily specials. If we had not had a good outlook, our romantic night out would have been ruined. My parents have had similarly bad experiences while staying at this hotel. Will never prepay for a room again. Definitely not what I would expect as part of the Starwood luxury collection.

Treat yourself to the Ballantyne

Outside of Las Vegas, the best hotel I have ever stayed at. A newer property with every amenity, and old school southern hospitality. Instead of jumping on the "hip, edgy, party " bandwagon, the Ballantyne exudes the class and charm of a true luxury hotel. Located out of downtown, it's within 30 minutes of all Charlotte attractions. A real gem I'll return to many times.

This is an amazing property.

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants
The moment that you step into this hotel you feel as though you are enveloped by luxury. The Great Hall has an exquisite decor that provides an elegant atmosphere, but the comfortable chairs placed near the roaring fire make it seem like home. The rooms are very well-appointed and the beds are extremely comfortable. The property has a beautiful spa that provides treatments for a much more reasonable rate than many other facilities. There is an incredible golf course, a well-equipped fitness center, an indoor pool with a hot tub, and even a sauna in the locker rooms. We have traveled extensively and found this hotel to be five star quality at a very reasonable price. We have already visited a second time!

The Hotel was so cozy and regal at the same time. The staff was so friendly! I loved it there! I would go back just to stay at that hotel. I cant say enough about it. We had breakfast there and the food was great and the service was great there too. I checked out the pool area and would have loved to have more time to spend there. It was a quick trip but I will be back!
