Decent - Not What I Expected

Pros: Staff
Cons: Fix/replace things that were not addressed during highlight renovation. Especially, things that directly impact the visitor's stay.
Location: Awesome. One of the best things going for the hotel in my opinion.
Staff was wonderful before, during and after visit. Centrally located to our main reason for being in the area. Room appeared to be partially renovated. Fan w/ cool setting was only option on heating/cooling unit. Unit gave off burnt/smoky smell the filled the room. So, we were unable to get room to temperature of our liking. Reported to from desk, but no corrective action. Bathroom pocket door had to be forced closed & then was difficult to open. Bathroom exhaust fan made a loud noise when used. Complimentary breakfast was okay. I would have liked a meat (bacon, sausage or ham) option. Thankfully, we were only staying for one night.

excellent value

Pros: value, comfort
Cons: better breakfast, fresher,, they served previous days grits etc... but cant complain when its free.
Location: seeing friends.
This hotel is a great value compared with others in charlotte. clean room, good tv, microwave and fridge, staff friendly, breakfast and good cancellation policy. easy access to most of charlotte. I would stay again no problem. comfortable.

Staff were great. Hotel overall was good. Couple things we were not happy was about slow wifi and airconditioner that was not very funcitonal

Pros: Location, staff was nice and down to earth. nothing ghetto. next to highways and airport.
Cons: I'm 6'6 a big tall guy they bathrooms could use some more room in the shower, but other than that all good! The exercise room can be larger.
Location: Next to Highway and they have as walking distance a couple of restaurants and a gas station to get some snacks.
I usually come to North Carolina 4-5 times a year to visit my daughter and used to stay in La Quinta hotel. I visited this hotel as a first timer since the other hotels prices where to high at the moment, i am glad i visited this place since the staff was pretty cool and the hotel is clean and not over crowded. The breakfast is a +++, checking inn was super fast and checking out was faster. The manager of this location was a nice lady, i noticed she was on top of everything to make sure the hotel runs good, props to her for a good job! PS: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO HER!!

Convenient and clean hotel with free breakfast

Overall everything was fine, but I was surprised that the room had only a shower and not a shower tub combination. First time I've ever stayed in a hotel that did not have a bathtub as well as a shower.

Clean and quiet

The staff are very gracious and accommodating. The rooms are clean and comfortable and since the property is off of the main road, it is pretty quiet as well. The beds slept really well but the shower units need to be upgraded. I would have loved to take a bath but they only have showers there I guess.All in all, it was a very pleasant and relaxing stay.

Awesome staff and great hotel!!!

I needed a hotel close to airport for a early flight out. I have to do this trip twice a year. I lost my wallet and called the front desk from the airport to check my room. Got a call back in 10 minutes that they found my wallet and would fedex it to my house in San Diego. Honest and great people work here. Breakfast was good also!! I'll be back!!

poor wifi and noisy

They has very poor wifi service. I have never seen that kind of wifi service. It was very slow and even I couldn't send an email by my laptop. also I couldn't sleep because was very noisy. You can hear the TV sound of your next room.

Affordable!

Location: Not much in the immediate area but very accessible to all parts of town via highways within 10 minutes. Very convenient to access airport
This is my second time to stay at this hotel. For the price you can't beat the amenities, including a hot breakfast each morning. It's certainly nothing luxurious but the location was great to access everything in town and with the savings we were able to spend more on our experiences. Of note, a vehicle in the parking lot had a busted window when we arrived, likely from leaving something valuable in sight. The staff monitors the parking lot and there are cameras on the property, so I never personally felt unsafe... I think this is something that could happen anywhere when you are careless with your belongings. Overall I would definitely recommend this for the traveler on a budget, and I would certainly return!

Enjoyed the stay...breakfast was pretty good. Room was clean, bed comfortable. Only thing I was unhappy with is the Bathroom. The Shower was great, but the pocket door was very hard to open and close...was very frustrated about that. Could have been a much better set up for the bathroom. And an actual closet would have been nicer. But the staff was very courteous and the room was comfortable.
