Poor service

Pros: Seemed to be halfway updated
Cons: I think there was only 1 or 2 people working - the line was out the door.
Location: Just stopped for the night on a road trip.
Booked on Travelocity - included rollaway request. After a long wait in line we checked in - asked for our rollaway. Was advised there would be an additional charge. Paid - waited 1.5 hours. Called twice & went back to desk twice. Was told nobody could bring rollaway up (at midnight, no less). Asked for refund. Hotel was grossly understaffed. Nobody was answering the phone, which was ringing like crazy. Went down for breakfast in the morning, which was 10-15 minutes late being set up.

Mediocre at best

Pros: The shampoo and conditioner was ok.
Cons: Keep someone on duty in the breakfast room to resupply and clean.
Location: The hotel is near nothing and there is nothing nearby to do.
Start with the fowl odor in the lobby. The room furnishings are old and worn. The pillows are tiny and the sheets/pillowcases are dingy. The water in the bathroom sink is luke warm at best. I went to the breakfast room - it looked like Dresden in the last days of WW2. No food left. No coffee and an awful orange colored water that was supposed to be orange juice. It looked as though a food fight had taken place. Really disgusting and no hotel staff anywhere to be found. I have no reason to recommend this hotel to anyone. There are plenty of others in the area. Otherwise, I'd consider getting a tent and sleeping by the road on my next trip.

convenient to airport

Pros: N/A, didn't look around.
Cons: Deep cleaning and repair.
Location: Perfect location for airport travel, couldn't hear the planes, shuttle every 30 min.
When checking in, receptionist very pleasant and helpful. Went up to my room. UGH 4th floor which I assume has most of the smoking rooms on it. Reeked of smoke. My room smelled ok, but had cigarette burns on comforter and cover sheet. There were spots on the bathroom floor and a stained toilet, which I assumed to be because of the water hardness. Went downstairs and requested mopping of bathroom, which was done, no problems. Lamp shade was peeling off. I may have read it wrong, but I was thinking they advertised rooms were revamped. They were not.

Do not stay here

Although hotel was convenient to airport and had free parking and airport shuttle, it was a horrible experience. I had stayed here previously when it was a Days Inn - never fancy but adequate. This time however, there were several families apparently living in hotel and who decided to have a party into wee hours of night on a Sunday night no less. People coming and going with small children hollering down the hall for their parents. We were supposed to be in non-smoking room. Our room was smoke free but we had to first walk down a long hallway past supposedly smoke-free rooms that reeked of cigarettes. Not sure why the clerk stuck us at the end of the hallway occupied by rowdy long-term residents. I won't be staying there again.

Great place to stay!

Pros: Free breakfast, Free Internet, Quiet
The deal was a room for the night, shuttle service to and from the airport and free parking while we were gone. The room was definitely prefect as my primary requirement was cleanliness and a decant bed. This hotel has brand new beds. It seems like the hotels is going through renovation. Although the hotel is going under renovation, the rooms looked very nice and clean. The staff was helpful in answering our questions like the shuttle and parking, and provided us with a wake-up call. We did not try the breakfast as we needed to leave for the airport prior to 6AM. This hotel is close to the airport which is great and the shuttle service worked out well. It is only ten minute ride and the driver even loaded and unloaded our luggage for us. We were instructed to call for the shuttle on our return and given a number and info on where it would pick us up. I called and the shuttle arrived after about ten minutes which seemed reasonable; again, the driver loaded and unloaded our luggage. There is no area set aside for parking, anywhere in the lot is fine, but you have to fill out a form listing your car make, license plate etc. We parked our car under a light near the front desk and it was fine on our return...we were away ten days. I would surly recommend this hotel. It is an airport location. It was a great deal....a room, shuttle and parking for ten days for around $50!

very friendly staff!

Despite what I read on the other reviews, I had a very pleasant stay. The staff offered to use the van to take me to nearby restaurants and when I didn't have enough money to buy a soda from the vending machine, the girl at the front desk loaned me a dollar! The room was clean and nice, with a fridge and microwave, which isn't always a given. I called them from the airport and they had a shuttle come pick me up within 10 minutes. In comparison to other 40 dollar a night motels, this is the best one I've stayed at so far.

What NOT to be!

Starbucks defines ""Five Ways of Being"" for their ""partners."" This Days Inn provides the epitome of what NOT to be. The room was adequate, but the customer service was appalling. One should double check, maybe even triple check, amenities offered by this motel. One account states an amenity of a ""pool view."" Interesting since there is NO POOL! The complimentary breakfast is said to have ""fresh fruit, danish or muffins"" and a ""selection of Kellogg's cereals."" It had two small blueberry muffins, and three slices of white bread. The selection of cereal was raisin bran and frosted flakes. Oh yes, and instant oatmeal. When one reads the brand statement of the Days Inn franchise, it sets customer service as the #1 priority. This particular franchise appears to have little or no concern for customer service. Accommodating the customer's needs was not done. The staff, particularly those who ""appeared"" to be the manager and/or owner were not friendly. There was not a complimentary newspaper as listed in a number of descriptions. This motel provides an inexpensive place to stay when in Charlotte, NC, but I would not recommend it unless you enjoy substandard service and accommodations.

Roaches & no TV variety

The room was ok & appeared clean but one night my husband was sitting on one of the double beds, looked down, and saw a VERY LARGE roach looking back up at him! The following evening, he saw one by our suitcase and he mushed it successfully. We were there for the Nationwide and the Sprint Cup races. The place is a good value for the money but you must be careful not to bring roaches home with you. Also, the TV channel selection is VERY limited. No Speed Channel, no HGTV, etc., etc. I would probably stay there again because of the rate we paid which was $50/night plus taxes. I hope Days Inn gets this and do something about the bugs!

Too Hot

The air condition was not on when we walked into the room. And it never really cooled off the room. We arrived at 9:30 PM and by time we feel asleep the room was barely cool. But we were underdressed and did not won't to moved to another room at 11:30 PM.
