Long weekend away
Overall the place was good for what we needed. It lacked some of the basics that come without VRBO properties, but all of the units seem to be run by the same realtor. The shower had long, dark hairs on the floor, we couldn't locate a cookie sheet that fit inside the oven, and there were no general cleaning products to wipe anything down during our stay. The location is the draw for the property (immediately off 517, close to restaurants and shops, beachfront with fishing pier). The responsiveness from the team was very good while we were there, but we contacted them after the trip was over to see if a pair of glasses were located and are still waiting for a reply.

It was a bit small for our family, as we were traveling with teens. We loved the idea of the built-in bunk beds, but the top bunk was a bit challenging to get in and out of. Also, there were no sheets for those beds. It was impossible for us all to hang out together on the balcony at the same time for a meal or game. There were plenty of seating options inside. The kitchen had all the equipment we needed to cook. I would suggest bringing your own pillows and extra towels. Easy access to the beach obviously. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Good Location, Ok property
This was a trip for me and my husband. Here are our pros and cons Pros: location is great! Right at the beach, easy to reach and easy to get on the road to go to other places in the Charleston area, a few bars and restaurants within walking distance. Prompt and easy communication with the property manager when issues arose like needing more towels or asking questions. There were several USB charging options which was very nice with all of our electronics. Cons: very small-at times it felt cramped for just me and my husband. Had we brought our two children, we would have been on top of each other the whole time. Many of the pillows didn't have pillowcases, others were inside out, the pillows had stains (had there been a pillowcase, we wouldn't have seen that) and were paper thin. The property had salt and pepper only so, as an out of state traveler, we would have had to buy all the necessary items to cook from the property which is not cost-effective for us as we couldn't travel home with it. The bathroom fan turned on every time you turned on the light and it was deafening! It was so loud we would only turn on the light when we showered, otherwise we left the light off and the door open. There is a laundry facility but it is shared (which is ok) but there was no laundry soap, even for purchase. Again, traveling out of state, when we wanted to do a load of laundry we would have had to buy laundry soap from the store just for a cup of it....not cost-effective. Overall - not a terrible place, would we stay at this specific unit again, probably not.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of my unit in the Sea Cabin complex was ideal regarding accessibility to the parking lot, beach and pool. Location was one of the primary reasons we selected this unit. The air conditioning worked great; there was plenty of hot water and the refrigerator and coffee pot worked great.However, there were some condition issues. The living room furniture was dirty; there had been a long standing leak around the shower; the air returns and the ceiling around the living room air return needed to be cleaned.Overall, I like the location of Sea Cabins, and the Island Realty staff are very nice and professional. But I won't select this particular unit in the future.

The only problems were the sea cabin could use a good cleaning and paint. Mold by the bathtub but great location patio rug very dirty but we loved the wood floor
