Disappointing.

Pros: nothing
Cons: see above
Location: great
No toilet paper twice after asking a second time. I had to ask the maid for some from her cart. Shower drain inoperative both days I stayed, no permanent fix after I asked. Bed OK, room clean, staff functional. No more than 2 star, but convenient for my needs.

hotel

The room looked a lot different then it did in pictures. Also the room is also expensive & it’s sad that you still have to pay for you to park your car in the garage

been here before, the rooms are well used and abuse

Pros: Great location
Cons: The physical plant could use updating as they did to the Tuscany next door, which they completely redid.
Location: As native New Yorkers the location couldn't be better. Almost everything we want is in walking distance and if not there is great transportation.
we were upgraded to a "Terrace room", which is a 2 room apt. with a terrace in the sitting room. It was too cool to use the terrace and since it was on Lexington Ave. we wouldn't have. A nice gesture though. The staff is very nice and accommodating. The rooms could use renovation.

Very Disappointed

Pros: The staff- that's it.
Cons: Rooms need to be updated, the cleanliness of them, and you shouldn't show pictures that do not match what it's really like. Very deceiving.
Location: Location is OK. Near many things to do.
My friend and I had an overnight stay at The Court to celebrate her birthday. I reserved a standard room, 1 king bed, courtyard view, courtyard area. The pictures shown on Travelocity were really very nice. To our surprise, when we walked in the room, the room was a total dump. It was at least a decent size room, but it was extremely old and outdated. Nothing like the pictures shown. The rug was disgusting, the bathroom wasn't clean at all... it had mold and mildew all over the tiles by the shower and there was hair on the floor. There definitely was a courtyard view, but no courtyard area like it said I would have when I booked it. The furniture was so old, and the bed wasn't very comfortable. Not only that, the front of the hotel looks nothing like the pictures shown. Good thing I had the address to the place because I would have drove right past it... there was scaffolding surrounding the hotel. The only good part of the hotel was that the staff were nice and friendly. Otherwise, I was extremely disappointed with this experience. Wasn't worth the money at all.

TUSCANY NOT THE COURT

We were happy to be moved to the TUSCANY on check in - which is a neighboring hotel (same block) owned by the same company. It wasn't a big inconvenience - but it was a little unusual. The TUSCANY (can't speak for THE COURT) had a modern lobby, friendly staff and was obviously renovated fairly recently. The room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable with a big chair and ottoman and a big chaise in addition to a king sized bed and plenty of dresser and closet space. The bath was fully modernized with a great walk in shower (no tub). Large screen TV - great location near Grand Central - several eateries in Murray Hill and the New York Library main branch and Bryant Park. Will definitely return!

The hotel is conveniently located. You have to get your own ice from the bar downstairs, which is weird and inconvenient. The air conditioning is wonderful and efficient. A pretty good little hotel.
