Outdated, grungy, and shabby. Hotel room door didn’t lock. Very little parking. Only good thing was the front desk clerk was cordial.

nice as it can be with what they've put into it.

Very old. No elevator. Electric went out for up to 2.5 hours 3 of the 5 nights. No hot water first 2 days. No water in bathroom sink until they changed the faucet on the 3rd day. No windows. Must turn AC off when you leave the room so very hot when you get back. No washcloths, hair dryer (no outlets in bathroom), breakfast-warm coffee, warm water and bread for toast; sometimes warm juice and apples. Low price but would not recommend. Room very sparsely furnished, no place to set luggage.

Local culture with a super friendly staff

If you want a local motel not far from the beach give this a try. This is not a Holiday Inn but was enjoyable as a after cruise stay. Continental breakfast OK. Lirs of highway noise and kind of a hostel feel but we enjoyed our stay. The new owner seems to be working hard on improvements.
