Medium size Family-oriented Hotel on the beach

Pros: Liked quietness of room, quality of food and especially the staff.
Cons: Two suggestions: 1. Need more ladders than the one existing into pools. 2. More shrimp served.
Location: Disappointed in Chichen Itsa but pleasantly surprised with Tulum. Xcerat was very nice but lunches were a buffet at $29 each.
Staff couldn't have been more accommodating and pleasant. Young waiters, in particular, were extremely attentive. Food was good to very good. All drinks included was surprising bonus. Nightly entertainment show was very well done with attractive cast. Pools and beach were clean.

Pleasant hotel close to beach with wonderful staff

Pros: All inclusive food and drinks. We had excellent meals, especially in the fine dining restaurant. The staff is EXCELLENT!!!
Cons: Beds were hard.
We enjoyed the staff, food, entertainment and service received. The all inclusive experience was wonderful. It was nice not taking out your wallet for the entire trip except to tip the excellent staff. This hotel is 25 years old so adjust your expectations accordingly. The beds were hard but we slept well every night. We were on the first floor so you could hear the partying going on in the lobby below.

Worst vacation ever!! what a waste time and money

I am a positive person when it comes to reviews but this time I can't give this hotel more than 2 stars. lets start with the positive!! GREAT staff!! Also the Kids club is the best we've ever seen! THAT'S ABOUT IT!!!. everything else is sooooo poor. we felt so bad every time we came inside the hotel lobby, the restaurant food smell in the lobby made me sick, fried food smell inside the hotel at all time!!. NO Expresso machine (really????), bed so hard, pillows soooo bad!!!! (my neck still hurting) food quality soooo poor, except of the pizza at the pool. we only had one good meal at thanksgiving day. Drinks weak BUT all other All inclusive same way in Mexico. Wifi cost $16 per day per device!!!! we booked this hotel base on the reviews ( I can't see how people give them high reviews) I am sure they never been to the RIU or Fiesta Americana before. This is our 3rd time in Cancun, we've been to Cabo, Puerto Vallarta, Hawaii, Florida many times and never had this bad experience! WE WILL NOT RETURN FOR FREE TO THIS HOTEL!!! what a bad vacation!! RUN AWAY Pay few $100s more and book other hotel. This is the only time we couldn't wait to go back home, usually we feel sad going back but not this time :(

Nice all inclusive hotel on the beach

We were upgraded to a nicer room when we arrived at the hotel. The service was excellent. Especially at the Cafe Solaris. The only downside is the pushy sales people that tried to get us to do a timeshare. Visiting the Mayan Ruins was by far the best part of our trip

HOTEL CAME UP SHORT :(

Pros: Restaurant staff in Las Fuentes Restaurant, and room cleaning crew were good - that's the only good thing I can say.
$15 a day for WiFi... what greedbag came up with that rate? TIMESHARE PRESENTATION WAS NOT 1 1/2 HOURS... IT WAS A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME, AND CONCIERGE REP LIED ABOUT FUTURE USE CERTIFICATE DISCOUNT THAT "DID NOT HAVE AN EXPIRATION DATE" (it was good from Nov 18th to Dec 22nd, 2015)... how stupid is that - like I'm really going to come back in a month? Also, our room reeked of fresh caulking sealant from a very sloppy repair job in the bathroom for at least the first 3 days we were there. Finally, it seems hotel management was apparently ok with a maintenance crew banging on AC duct vents for half an hour right next to guest rooms at 8:00 AM !#@?! WHAT IDIOT COULDN'T TELL THEM TO TAKE THAT CRAP INTO THE BIG MAINTENANCE ROOM THAT WAS RIGHT NEXT TO THEM??? 8:00 AM... REALLY. I came very far, and only got a so so experience - FORGET YOU SOLARIS HOTELS!

Great Hotel

Cons: If you really like to bake in the sun, there are many umbrellas around the pool, hard to find a really sunny location.
Location: Use the City buses for transportation, only a dollar to the malls, or wherever. Better than cab fare.
We have stayed at other resorts in Cancun. This is one of the nicest. There are not a lot of different restaurants, but the menu is varied nightly at the Main Buffet. The staff is wonderful and attentive. We did have some rain on two days, but gave us the opportunity to do some shopping. We use USA Transfers for our trip to and from the hotel, do not have to wait for a van to fill up, or wait until others are dropped off before getting to our hotel. Warning.........there are lots of steps....

Rénovation nécessaire!

Hotel pas bien entretenu, qualité des aliments et boissons très médiocre. Bon service de la part des employés. La chambre n'a pas été renovée depuis la construction de l'hotel, la salle de bain mal equipée, l'eau sort de la douche, serviettes trés vieilles.

Nice Hotel Close to the Beach. enjoy with kids

Pros: food, familiar activities, nice sight to the beach
Cons: the air conditioning inside the room you can not graduate, it is too cold.
Location: really good location, you can take the bus right in front of the hotel that can take you everywhere in a few minutes, Really near the airport
I went with my litttle daugher and we really enjoyed it. Nice familiar acivities for kids, really close to the beach and enough and different kinds of food to eat. I Recommend the agency inside the hotel to take tours. Better Prices, nice staff

Okay all inclusive on beach

I booked this hotel based on reviews I read. I feel the reviews were a bit misleading. The hotel room had no balcony as promised, but it did have a beautiful ocean view. The staff was very nice. The room was clean, but a bit outdated. The mattress was uncomfortable. The wi-fi was an extra fee of $16 a day. The amenities were good. The pool was nice and the beach was beautiful. The food was a concern it rated from okay to just plain terrible. Only a few things were okay tasting to eat daily. Hotel a bit far from the center of entertainment and shopping. It was $15 cab ride each way each time we wanted to venture out. All in all the hotel was okay for the great deal we got with airfare and hotel, but if I were to go back to Cancun I would definitely pick a different place.
