Charged me 680us dollars to eat and drink. Paid for the all inclusive when i booked room...at first they said i did not even have a reservation at the hotel ...

I honestly don't know where to begin .... the staff was very friendly and attentive. The rooms were OK, but thats about all that was decent. We had a stay of 8 nights and during the stay they had construction going on, so we weren't able to hang out or nap in our room because we'd be bothered with loud noise. I couldn't understand why they'd place us in a room for such a long stay with construction going on but that wasn't the worst of it. The thing that annoyed me the most is that right behind the hotel is a really nice pool that we couldn't use. They made the pool exclusively for the Altitude Hotel which is ridiculous because it is literally behind the hotel we were staying at. Also, when we tried showering the water came out a dusty orange and when we called front desk they said they were cleaning out their tubes but the thing is why didn't the staff warn us about all these things when we first got there! The water was absolutely disgusting. The worse part is the sink water smelt like spoiled eggs, which was soooo gross. We had a great vacation anyway, the pool was pretty deep - the one we were able to use - the poolside food was pretty good too better than their breakfast. If you stay here, I hope its a better experience than the one I had.

Great location bad all-inclusive

Great location to the beach right there; walking distance to restaurants bars, the mall and lots of souvenir stores. Hotel is staff not that friendly; hotel staff not that attentive. You need to hunt them to serve your drinks. The all inclusive is bad. The food really bland at all the restaurants especially the buffet food: either too salty, raw, or without flavor, not tasty. Hotel room was clean and spacious great view of the beach. The pools are nice especially the adults only pool. The hotel is old, the elevators are old and an accident waiting to happen ( leaking water, shaking, loud noises). The price of the all inclusive isn’t worth your money. Also you need to reserve most restaurants if you want to dine there so you end up with a couple of choices. The grill restaurant they never bother to come to your table. They are slow and unfriendly. The buffet food at other restaurant is bad but at least you serve yourself.

Staff was rude and very unhelpful!

Stayed from April 8 until April 12 and during my stay I nice hotel bedding was dirty I also got hurt.The date was April 11. While exiting my room my pant leg was caught with a nails that was sticking out from the balcony in front of my room. My pants were cut wide open my leg was punctured. I immediately called the front desk which was of no help. I was transferred four times before I went downstairs to speak to someone at the front desk. I spoke to a gentleman who said The manager was in a meeting and couldn't talk with me at the time. This guy was of no help and didn’t even ask me was I OK or if I needed any kind of assistance. He asked me what room I was in and where was the nails located. I asked him again was he really a assistant manager because he had no care to what I just told him had happped. He was more interested in where the nails was in the hotel. I Immediately went downstairs to the Expedia advisor for help. Who took me back to the front desk for help and was very helpful. Once again we talked to the same gentleman and some other people to assist me with my situation. The gentleman who I spoke with at first then become helpful and tried to make things better. I was giving a sewing kit and a bandage. After eating a late lunch because of the situation I returned back to my room and noticed all the nails were taken out and still no manager and given me a call to check to see if I was OK I am leaving today ripped pants and a punctured leg. Very unhappy.

Friendly staff and average hotel

Location of hotel is great...close to beach action, night life, and convenience store. If your not on all inclusive plan it is very spendy. Well kept grounds and beach area is nice.

Trip to Cancun

Pros: The beaches, options to eat at the hotel.
Cons: The elevator was slow
Location: Plenty of places to walk to and shop. It was near a bus stop and lots of taxi services
The place is excellent, nice ocean view. Friendly staff, food was great.

Nice hotel by the beach

1st room smell, 2 nd room had two queen we order a king bed, 3rd room finally had what we wanted.

Pros: beach and location
Cons: better food in the deli
Location: everything is a block away
This is my second time staying at the Krystal Grand Punta and I will continue to stay there every time I visit Cancun. They have the best beach in all of Cancun hands down! Also the clubs, bars, restaurants and malls are all a block away from the hotel, never have to waste money on a taxi! Staff is great and the pools are awesome.

Pictures and ratings were very deceiving

One thing I will start with is that the staff was so friendly and helpful during the whole situation. The hotel room smelled like sewage and their was water backing up through the drain in the bathroom, the bed was literally almost on the floor and hard as a rock, you could tell the entire hotel was very old. Pictures and ratings of this hotel were very deceiving. The hotel looks nice on the surface but is not once you actually get there. The lobby (which was open to all the rooms) was not air conditioned and very hot (it was cooler when you got outside) and muggy. We were so unhappy we actually asked for a refund and went to the JW Marriott.
