Despite some misunderstandings during check in, everything else was good. The dinner is not expensive and it changes dishes everyday!

Located on the beach, Emporio Cancun is in Cancun's Zona Hotelera neighborhood. La Isla Shopping Mall and Market 28 are worth checking out if shopping is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Delfines Beach and Forum Beach. Aquaworld and Cancun Interactive Aquarium are not to be missed.
We had a great stay at Emporio Cancun. Beds are comfy (but on the softer side). Everything is accurate to the photos. Staff is friendly and helpful. The pool is nice. The beach is good and there was no sargassum, although the water on this section is very rough and doesn't allow for much swimming. The location is convenient - about 20 minutes from the airport and there is a bus stop down the hill from the lobby which gets you to the main part of the hotel zone very quickly (R1 and R2 buses run 24/7 up and down the main street and are much cheaper than taxis). There is a great tour info desk in the hotel (Best Day) and some more stationed out side and across the street. We didn't try the Italian restaurant but the other one was a decent buffet. Captain's Cove across the street has a fantastic Sunday Brunch and the Maya Museum is right in front of the hotel and very nice. We would definitely stay here again.
