We had a good time at the hotel, the stuff is very friendly and helpful, everyone,except this man working with the water sports, he doesn't work directly with the hotel,his business is to sell tours therefore he tries to convince guests to buy tours from him and he even gets upset if guests refuse to purchase these tours. He treats white guests better than he does other ethnicities, his name is Alejandro, the stuff working directly with the hotel are very nice. The activities personnel work very hard to get guests entertained,kudos to them!

Nice hotel, great food and drinks, great shows!

This was our 6th time in Cancun but the first at the Barceló Costa. Overall great stay! The food and drinks were great and the flea markets and Mall was close by. Making reservations for dinner was easy we just did it each morning on the way to breakfast. The beach was nice and calm compared to other hotels we have stayed at on the other end of the strip. The shows each night outside were great! The beach area wasn't too big but we loved it and it was right next to the ferry for Isla Mujeres which we liked. The bathroom in the rooms was huge and the shower was the nicest shower I have ever had at a hotel. My only complaints were the music at the pool was very low and slow. They really need to turn it up and play something more upbeat instead of elevator music. Second the beds are horrible. Very hard and uncomfortable and I woke up sweaty every night even with the air on. It wasn't just me who thought this either. We went with a group of 8 who all said the same. So with loud upbeat music by the pool and a new bed it would have almost been perfect.

Great beach, tons of fun

Went down for a friend's bachelor party. We had an amazing time! Great beach and pool. We never had to wait for chairs or drinks. The nightly entertainment was lots of fun. I would go back in a heart beat.

Is just fine hotel but for when u want to relaxe

Relaxing, peacefull but it could be better, food is just ok and they don't have a lot option. They employee they nice, but the room cleaner are perfect everything is white and perfectly clean

Loud, poor service, no wifi, sketchy, food quality was poor, beach chairs on top one another. Find a different hotel.

It seems very strange to say that the quality of food is very poor, if we have a great variety of food using the best products and a highly professional staff. If your room was noisy, you may report it to reception so that they provide it with another room, where noise, all in order to remain of your choice is not heard. nice resort for grin ups, leave the kiddos at home

Third time in Cancun. I have 4 kids. Just brought my parents this time. Quaint little resort with little to do but eat and lounge around. Only one medium sized pool. Notables are surprisingly tasty foot for an all-inclusive resort. But (we all have one at know) few restaurants. And all the food was the same. The location was great and overall really beautiful. I'm glad I stayed here. It was quiet and small. The nightly shows were ho hum. I would consider returning but only with the wife. 3.5 stars is stretching it though. I lived in Las Vegas for 13 years and stayed at most of the resorts. I know what 3.5 stars gets you. Overall impression...not bad. P.S. Non inclusive room service. Bummer.

Hidden Charges

Holidays here and hotel is nice but it is NOT all inclusive as stated when we booked - more like half board When we checked out there were lots of hidden charges and to use the wifi which is free in the vast majority of hotels these days costs quite a lot - especially when you come to check out. Ask whether stuff is included in your package before you use it!!!'

En general bien, tardado el check in, la gente de otros hoteles ofreciendo sus servicios poco cordiales, el hotel sin clima en elevadores y moscos en algunas áreas.

Beautiful hotel close to the beach

Pros: Everything
Cons: The wifi.
Location: Go to the beach and go downtown.
Amazing experience, great hotel service and staff. Had problems with the wifi even though we paid for it for a whole day; there was no service in my room. Tech help tried to fix it but weren't able to.

Excellent weekend get away.

Pros: The all inclusive part, drinks and food.
Cons: A/C. Don't get me wrong. Room was always cool, but there where times were I needed a little heat and the A/C unit in the room only provides cold air.
Location: Hotel is close to the beach, malls a lot of archeological sites (if you're interested in that) xichen itza, cenotes, a lot of theme parks like xcaret.
It was a pleasant experience, I have no complaints about anything. Food was good, specially Mexico lindo but you have to make your reservation early in the morning between 7:30-8:30 am Staff service was amazing very friendly. Bartenders on point.
