Only privacy is in your room
After hearing the VRBO commercials that you get the place to yourself we were quite surprised when we showed up and the host's mother and I assume father are clearly living in the home. The mother did not speak English and appeared suprised that we were there. She had to call her daughter who first asked which company I booked through, then told me that her mom would show me to our room. The room still had personal belongings in the closet which immediately made us feel like we were intruding in someone else's room. When I asked why, she told me there was plenty of closet space. She didn't understand that having personal items in there was not cool. There were no hand towels. When I asked for some we got face cloths, paper towels and Kleenex. The tub was out of order. We were asked to strip the bed before leaving. The overall experience was very disappointing and this was our very first VRBO booking.
