I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Westin Reserva Conchal. It was the perfect getaway. Gabriel serviced my room several times...room service! These are some of the hardest working employees ive seen, and always eager to please. I look forward to my next years stay!! Thank you all!!!

One of the best hotels and by far the most beautiful grounds in Costa Rica. The wild life in the hotel is fantastic for kids and family to enjoy and embrace the eco friendly environment.

Check-in is lacking in telling the guest what amenities are available, like lounge chairs for the beach, carts available for shuttling around, printing out restaurant reservations after making them for the week (one member did it the next day without being asked), bikes for guests, etc. There’s a lot of stuff for the guests that they end up figuring it out on their own (mostly by having to ask), but the Westin could do a better job to help guests know what they get for the all-inclusive package. Overall great property, would recommend to all. The food was surprisingly good and well prepared and presented, but some of the selections didn’t really make sense, like fried ice cream at an Asian restaurant, or gazpacho soup at a Mediterranean restaurant. Just strange things like that. Obviously no big deal at the end of the day. The cart drivers were the friendliest of all the staff, all of them. Loved the wild life everywhere-monkeys, raccoons, iguanas, armadillos and birds. Snorkeling and kayaking are all included, so do them. Lots of fish to see if you go right about 200 yards when entering the beach. $20 for one hour full messages, by unlicensed people, didn’t bother us, and what a deal!!! A shout out to Christian at Spiritula (not spelled right but close enough) Silvia at Manglar, Luis for the morning yoga classes, Alejandra (Alex) who was at several restaurants and Oscar the bellman/driver...all of them made us feel welcome. Thank you Westin!!! PURA VIDA!!!

We had an AMAZING vacation. The Westin was beautiful; the staff were friendly, helpful and just great people. We loved all the amenities. Monkeys, flowering trees, clean pools, fun games (pool, ping ping), good entertainment. It was like being on a cruise on land! Buffet was very good for breakfast and lunch - preferred restaurants for dinner but difficult to get a reservation. Our favorite was the Italian restaurant.

30 year wedding anniversary, felt special!

This was an awesome experience!!! I would so recommend this resort! We stayed at the Beach Club which is definitely the way to go! John was our favorite conceirage. The temperatures were in the 80’s everyday, no rain, animals everywhere, from monkeys to lizards, and the people were so friendly and accommodating!!!

I would return a third time!

Pros: It never felt crowded, the food was great, and the hotel staff was friendly and accommodating.
Cons: do something to keep children away from the pool bar.
Location: town of Brasilito is just a short walk up the beach with a few bars and restaurants, plenty of resort activities or excursions through tour operators.
This was my second stay at the Westin Conchal in Costa Rica. As before, the hotel staff was amazing. Everyone was friendly and made it their mission to ensure the stay was wonderful. From the front desk, to the shuttle drivers, to the wait staff at the bars and restaurants... everyone had a smile and always greeted us, many times by name! The layout of the hotel is expansive, but the shuttles take you anywhere you want to go easily enough. I've stayed at many all inclusive resorts over the years, but this one has more restaurants than most and all provided good food, from the buffet to the pool side grill. Manglar, La Sabana, and Las Candalas were my favorites. The beach is just a few steps away and is a mile long from end to end... it was not crowded at all. Plenty of activities provided by the resort free of charge, and plenty more excursions and activities through tour companies.

Not so all inclusive and money miser resort!

Pros: most staff, location
Cons: stop the penny pinching and appear to be a Westin property
If you are choosing this hotel due to SPG benefits and you are not going to book directly via SPG, dont! Your benefits as a gold or platinum member will not apply unless you book directly via SPG. No upgrades or stay credit. What is stated as a all inclusive is not so much. Every restaurant will have a separate menu with the better items at a cost. Want a glass of sake at their Japanese restaurant, that will cost you even though the bottle of sake is $12.00 US. All of their restaurant will provide you will the pool bar menu should you ask for a cocktail list, even their imperial bar. If you get a room with the "private, glass-enclosed terraces" and you are on the first floor, it will not be private as staff walk by all day long and this is your only window into the room. That said you spend you stay will the blinds closed and zero outside view. Our room was a bit run down with black and pink mold on the fan an exposed wire leading to a light and other age issues. if you like to swim get it in during the limited pool hours and even more limited pool bar hours. The pool closes before dark. If you heard about a hot tube, we never found one. Tipping is obviously not required however you will feel that it is expected with all of the obvious tip jars everwhere If you dont want to have staff in your room for a day or during your stay you may want to inform the management as the staff to not follow the no service request and will enter your room. The character is too short
