Attended a conference and did not need to leave the hotel. Did venture out but for specific events. Staff was superb. Restaurants were excellent but quite pricey. Was a wonderful experience.

"Nice hotel centrally located on the Strip"
Check in was super quick, able to check in 2 hours early with no extra charge. Room was clean. Bed could be a little softer. Hotel is centrally located on the Strip, made for a perfect place to stay. Loved the free parking, hope they don't change it. Don't like the resort fee, think it's ridiculous and way over priced...might as well charge another night. The staff were encountered were friendly. Check out was super fast. Will be back unless they start charging for parking.

"I love Four Queens"
Beds were comfortable with nice pillows and crisp white sheets. Room was clean. My only complaint would be the weird cement prison like sink in the bathroom, looks like something from Alcatraz Prison. Everyone from the front desk to the bellman to housekeeping were very professional and nice. Casino is somewhat small but totally expected from an older casino. Casino personnel were very helpful and friendly. Machines were not as tight as they are on the strip. I would definitely recommend The Four Queens.

Room was clean and was a quick indoor walk to our convention at Mandalay. Much less expensive than Mandalay that our company had a group of rooms reserved.

"Major upgrades are on the way. "
I was hesitant about staying at the Monte Carlo, knowing that they are getting ready to "rebrand" the hotel and start major upgrades. You need to be aware that there is no pool at the Monte Carlo now and they have made arrangements at the MGM Grand to use their facilities but since its winter in Las Vegas, the loss of the pool was no big deal. The retail area on the way to the Bellagio tram is also gone during the reconstruction. While there is construction going on at the hotel, the public disturbance is minimal. Over the next year or two, over $400 million dollars will be put into the hotel for upgrades, which honestly are overdue. While the room was comfortable, they are starting to show their age. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, however, the dealers seem to be very unhappy with the changes going on. My biggest gripe(s) is having to pay the resort fee of $30/day for wireless access in my room. That's all I received. No coffee maker, no newspaper, no bottled water. You do have access to their business center but who goes to Vegas to work (not me). The other big turnoff is having to pay $8/day for self-parking. The bean counters have taken over and if you're looking for a lot of comp's, you won't find them at the MGM properties. Right now, the Monte Carlo is still a good value with a great location. Time will tell if the rebranding to "The Park at MGM" will result is much higher room rates.
