I stayed two nights at American Inn and had possibly the worst stay in a hotel. My room was in a hallway shared with the restaurant attached to the hotel. Everyone coming in and out of the bar walked right by my room and would stand and talk in the hallway. I had to call and ask the restaurant to close their door so I wouldn't hear their music all night. The same room shared a window with the street outside where sirens blazed. Once the noise calmed down, a semi truck pulled up next to my room and loaded off towels for the hotel...one pallet at a time using the hydraulic plates. Needless to say I didn't sleep much. The room itself was fine..nothing fancy was needed. The shower floor was full of water under the floorboard. I had a hard time keeping my balance and would get dizzy. Definitely could use some upgrades. While the staff was friendly, they could most likely be found outside smoking whenever you needed them. I don't think I will be staying at this hotel ever again.
