I included a special request,it was our anniversary,asked for a 2nd floor room with the best view they could give me. We ended up on a sub lower floor and they claimed that there had been no note with my reservation

We do so apologize about missing your anniversary note. Sadly, a first floor room with 2 queens and a patio is what you reserved. We had no other higher floor available as we were sold out due to local power outages.

My wife and I loved the staff. They are the nicest people. Our disappointment started the first night. The hotel overbooked and we did not get the room we had booked. The following day we were offered an alternative room. The room was much old then expected. The ac would not properly cool the room. We just opened the balcony door at night which worked well. The bathroom did not have an exhaust van which has caused the wallpaper to start to peel. It was not as nice as we hoped from the photos. I did expect our first night to be discounted as we did not get what we paid. However, we had to pay full price for no fault of our own.

The rate you booked with us was for a standard room rate through Travelocity, which does not guarantee a specific room type. When we learned of your displeasure with a double queen room instead of a King, we were happy to move you at no additional charge to a King room the next night as soon as we had availability. We will have maintenance review the other items you mentioned. We appreciate your feedback.
