We couldn't have asked for a better location.

Pros: Clean rooms, awesome helpful staff, great cocktails!
Cons: When we arrived the hot tub and pool weren't heated, but the staff handled it within a day or two.
Location: Bermuda has lots to offer and while we didn't get to do some of the tours we wanted, we still had an incredible time. We rented scooters.
There isn't a bad view at The Reefs. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating and fast to respond with any issues. The food at the hotel is very good, and the bartenders are true mixologists. The hotel sits right on the ocean with more than a 180 view from our room. We stayed on the poolside view which still had a full ocean view but was the less expensive room. First time in Bermuda and we plan on going back and staying at The Reefs.

We expected a lot, and were still impressed!

Pros: The location is to die for - high on a cliff overlooking amazing turquoise water and reefs. Plenty of great snorkeling right on the property. Clean!
Cons: Pricing at restaurants is quite high if you don't have meal plan. Taxi service left something to be desired, but that was more the taxis not resort.
Location: Located on the south shore, very close to horseshoe bay, and right next to the old Sonesta property. Sort of in the middle of the island, well located
AMAZING experience. Gorgeous location. Immaculate property. But for us, the staff really made the trip. Edwina, Lena Mae, Richard, Ruthann, Shinae and so many more. We really can't say enough about how helpful and courteous and friendly everyone was. To be in such a beautiful setting with such beautiful people just truly added to our trip.

The ideal - tasteful and personal.

An excellent choice. if you opt for charming small venues with charm and elegance over high rise, impersonal mega resorts- you will love The Reefs. An intimate moon shaped sand beach; a choice of rooms on the cliffs or clustered around the infinity pool and hot tub, personal staff, an excellent, comprehensive breakfast buffet and a first-class dining room, plus right at the hotel entrance - access to the island 's bus system that can get you everywhere. . .needless to say, we rate The Reefs highly. and among the top five hotels we have stayed in the 50 plus years of married life. MA and John Bird, Maine.

Great views of the coral blue sea

Pros: welcoming staff
Cons: need small desk in rooms to support the wifi. wifi was uneven and slow
Location: not much near by but we like Henry the 8th and ate there 4 times. Cab fare is very high. Bus fare okay but service means a lot of waiting
Excellent service and welcoming staff from reception, luggage assistance, restaurant, concierge. Food is very expensive everywhere in Bermuda. They blame it on cost of flying meats and produce in but $4 for a glass of iced tea and cost for refills not favorable all over Bermuda. Would stay at Reefs again due to good staff and overall good but not great facilities. Room needs a small desk. Floors are tile and your bare feet show a lot of dirt

Absolute Paradise!!!

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
My mother and I stayed last week. We were so impressed the moment we stepped foot on the property. The staff was so friendly and inviting. The views were spectacular. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The food was quite overpriced but was very delicious. I did wish there was more handicapped access for my mother. She had a very hard time getting around due to the cliffs and hills on the property. Overall a very impressive place to stay and will go back in the future.

the Reef's Bermuda

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
Lovely boutique resort with pool, hot tub and beautiful private beach. The Reef's is a small hotel with 3 restaurants on site.. we were there mid April, however and only 1 restaurant - Ocean Echo's was open for dinner. The menu did change every night, so we were never bored when we chose to dine there...one caveat, Ocean Echo's is Prix Fixe at $60.00 per person. They do have a kids menu which we did not use. The other restaurants open about May 1 when the high season begins and they are a la carte. Lunch was served on the patio of Coconuts which is by the beach. There are dining packages available... and breakfast was included which was great. The staff was friendly, helpful and informative.. everyone on the island is friendly and helpful. We took advantage of the La Serene Spa at the hotel and had wonderful massages. The hotel is family friendly and although there were a number of children around.. it was quiet. High Tea is served every day at 4 which was nice and relaxing. There are two restaurants within walking distance... Henry VIII - steak house and sushi bar... we had dinner there and it is was good. The other one is the Dining Room at the Gibbs Light House.. we had lunch there which was also good... avoid the pizza though.

No Place Better In Bermuda

Pros: Free Internet, Quiet, no overcrouded feeling., right on bus route
My wife and I stayed for the 3rd time at the Reefs at the end of May into June. The staff was wonderful and helpful and many had remembered us from our last stay. There are 3 restaurants at this small "boutique" hotel and the meal plan is a great bonus. All 3 restaurants are wonderful, even though there was a head chef change this past year. Sure you can get cheaper meals at some places, but if you want the same type of quality dining as at the Reefs you will spend more than the plan. I mentioned during the booking that we like the room we had last year and they made the effort to put us in the same room. Again, it was great, overlooking the pool and hot tub and out to the beautiful blue seas. We've stayed at other places in Bermuda, but this one is the best. The rooms are being renovated a few at a time, but even if they aren't all "glitzie", it was clean, and comfortable and that means more to me. The beach is basically private and there were lots of lounges to be had, you don't have to go early to "reserve" yours. We had a great time and the atmosphere of good staff rubbed off on the friends we made while there. It is a wonderful place.

Were so dissappointed

We arrived in Bermuda on a beautiful day at the beginning of August. There were 4 of us, my husband, myself, our daughter and son. We were told that the room had two queen size beds. Upon check in, we found that the room had one king, a pull out love seat and a roll away that was filthy. There was barely enough room to walk around. While my husband went to the front desk to complain, my teenage daughter went onto the deck to see the magnificent view. She came back in very upset because she looked down at the hot tub and saw a huge rat scurrying around it. The room was not clean and it was very dated and worn looking and we were paying over * per night! Additionally, the pool shown in the on line picture is not the one that you'll be using...it's just for "partial owners" of the other building. We got our deposit refunded and went to the Fairmont Southhampton. The beach was lovely and clean, the staff at the hotel was wonderful. There were several restaurants, a beautiful spa, and the room rate was only 20 more per night. We would never recommend the Reefs to anyone! Save yourself the headache and book another hotel.
