You get what you pay for, and in this case, you're paying for fairly economical, no-frills family accommodation.
I was in a Queenslander, and it was showing it's age. However, aside from a dodgy bathroom tap, it was perfectly serviceable for a family of 4.
I would point out that the aircon works well in the main room, but on a hot day, the bedrooms (especially the bunk room) remain hot.
