Nicer resorts to choose from

Staff was okay but not really excited to see you. This hotel is on the southside and older. Not much of a resort. I would not stay again nor would I reccommend. The dive shop on the dock at the resort I assumed (felt like we were mislead) could take you out immediately to dive. Actually you get taken to bigger dive shop where you go with a larger group. to get back to your hotel after dives took them forever. Wasted time. Nothing fancy about this place. A lot of smelly seaweed that was not cleaned up so no beach front and very strong smell. I would recommend using Amburgey‘s divers for one set of dives. We did eight dives and went to the same sites over and over again . Still saw cool stuff but we wanted a variety if there was more. Hard to communicate but this is their revenue.

Comfortable beach area

Pros: The view and the shade.
Cons: Interior paint.
Location: We do a lot of walking so the walk to town was not a problem for us. There are an abundance of vendors and restaurants and gift shops.
We arrived in San Pedro via water taxi, which took about an hour or so. Taxis were just a short block over. The hotel provided for the taxi, which I thought was way cool. We were escorted to our room right away. The linens were very clean and fresh. Our view was terrific, it included the pool area and ocean of course. We dined next to the pool area, the food was very good. The next day we went snorkeling and had a wonderful experience, we saw a great variety of sea life: fish, (too many to keep count), turtles, eels, sharks, sting rays, and coral....great fun. Sailing the hobi cat was fun, fun, fun too. All in all I would say we had a very enjoyable time....

Excellent location and nicest staff and guests!

Pros: We just loved it all. This property is a small enough to be quaint, but met all our adventure and relaxation needs combined. You felt like family!
Location: Boating, snorkeling, biking, renting golf carts to get around town, fabulous swimming, paddleboarding, sailing - just about anything!
This was the 1 time to Belize and we are so glad we started our stay on Ambergie Caye and Caribbean Villa, before heading back to the mainland and exploring. This hotel is conveniently located and just have the niceest staff. We recommend this place to anyone that wants a laid-back experience by day and super convenient to get to the nightlife at night. The staff could not have been more accommodating and great to deal with. We will definitely be going back and will be recommending Caribbean Villa to anyone we know planning to come to Belize.
