If you have an early flight, this is a great and inexpensive way to be close to the airport. They are happy to drop you off, but the #50 bus stops every 10-15 minutes across the street and with the Basel Card (which is free) the bus is free.

Only one person working check in/out desk and also seemed to have equipment problem. However, that person was very friendly and did the best he could under the circumstances.

Good Quality Hotel

We stayed at Airport Hotel Basel one night in July 2016 as we had a very early flight from the Mulhouse airport the next morning. We found the hotel comfortable, modern, and with a nicely designed and amply sized room. The hotel is adjacent to a casino, which would offer an opportunity to relax for those with an interest in such pass-times. The staff were courteous and helpful, and we thought the cost was quite reasonable. Apart from the casino there is not much to see in the immediate area of the hotel, but they offer a free bus into town if you have the time. They also offer free transport to the airport. For someone needing a quick connection to the airport, this is a good choice.

Great room and the staff was always friendly and helpful. Excellent stay.

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, casino
From check-in to check-out my stay was wonderful. Convenience to the casino was a plus as well as the complimentary continental breakfast. I cannot give the staff enough kudos for their friendliness and going the extra step to make my stay a pleasant experience. Highly recommended.
