Learned there were 2 bookings, Travrlocity didplayed 1 booking. Hotel would not cancel second booking, even though Travrlocity communicated only q booking. Next stop credit card dispute and avoid Travelocity/Expedia in future.

The hotel was clean, in a great location, friendly staff, and the corner room with city views was terrific. Great breakfast buffet, and dinner in the hotel's restaurant was great. The room and hotel were very clean. The Benihana restaurant was great. When I come back to Bangkok Ill stay here again.

We prepaid via Travelocity. Checking in was a real pain. Again this was for a set of 4 prepaid rooms. Then one of our rooms was already occupied and required a revisit to the front desk. Then the "electricity card" that was to be used to turn on the power in the room did not work, so yet another trio to the front desk. Then checking out was nearly as bad. The final kicker was that they charged me a 1000 Baht deposit per room for a total of 4000 Baht that they claimed would be refunded in 2 weeks. So now I have $127 charge on my credit card that I hope comes off in 2 weeks. We stayed in 5 hotels in Thailand and Cambodia on this trip and this hotel gave us the greatest run-around.

Great hotel for price

Pros: convenient location, excellent staff and great price
Cons: Sunshine on the pool does not exist most of the time.
Location: Quick link to downtown, street food, starbucks etc.
Very good experience with a good price and the hotel being close to water taxi station that links to the downtown for 15 baht. Metro station close and hotel offers a very convenient drop off to the shopping district for free. Only watch out is that the sun shines on the pool area only after 1:30 pm and in fact this is on the pool deck and the pool is basically in the shade most of the day. Still ok but not idea if you are wanting to enjoy the pool.

Nice hotel ... not much around the area

Huge hotel with almost 30 floors. There was even an elevator guy down at the lobby who will call the elevator for you. There's nothing walking out of the hotel, but the MRT is about an 10 min walk from the hotel (make a left out of hotel). 7-Eleven is about a 5 min walk away. The hotel has a shuttle service, but with the crazy traffic on the street where the hotel sits on ... it was faster walking. Rooms were very nice.
