entrance was a turn off

On August 4, upon arriving at this hotel and saw the reception area, I was so taken aback with disappointment. The place smells awful and looks like a ghost town .Fortunately for me the hotel was under construction so they had a van waiting to transport me to Cancun Bay Hotel. I was told that this is a better place but to me it was a 0.5 star hotel. So if this is considered a better hotel am glad I did not get the chance to venture inside. Grace

you get what you pay for

this is a older three floor hotel with open air hallways so its fairly noisey. the rooms are clean but the beds are very hard. if your in the first building faceing the courtyard they leave the music blearing till 1 30 . the food is o k at best lots of hot dogs and spam. the beach is nice its a public beach so lots of locals but they seem polite. if your looking for a 5 r even 4 star hotel this is not for you if your looking to go cheap and don t mind a few bumps there will be bumps. this place is great.

The staff made us feel very welcome

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, day trip organizing
We very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was more laid back then we expected but as it turned out that was just what we needed. The rooms, we had three, were all clean and fresh smelling. Our towels and sheets were not replaced daily at our request as we prefer to reuse them for a few days, an unusual request by the response we got from our room keeper. The food was good, the staff made vegetarian meals for our daughter without any fuss, frankly her meals looked awesome! The beds were harder then we are used too but we didn't seem to mind that at all. Our days spent pool side, playing staff organized games with the French and British Volleyball teams who were staying there too made for great days. The night activities were heard through the doors but only a bit, not enough to bother us. We spent time on the public beach with the locals snorkeling and chatting and trying out treats the families had brought out for the day. Over all we had a great vacation, our kids (16,16,20,20) were entertained leaving us to chill by the pool or on the grass in complete relaxation mode. We look forward to visiting again some day, I miss my morning coffee with the resident iguanas on our step :)
