Great hotel in the center of Buenos Aires

Pros: Staff and room quality were both excellent.
Location: Close to the financial district and Plaza de Mayo, Casa Rosada, and Obelisco.
We found the 725 Continental through Travelocity and are glad we stayed there. The hotel is in a classic building that has been renovated and updated on the inside. Our room was comfortable and elegant with a view overlooking the Diagonal Norte. The bath is modern and all room amenities and features worked perfectly. One lovely feature was that the original hardwood parquet floors were retained in the guest rooms. The staff were excellent: professional, helpful, and friendly in all ways. The breakfast offered extensive choices in a pleasant dining room on the mezzanine level. The only disadvantage is that there are few restaurants in walking distance for dinner. The hotel's restaurant is good -- with wonderful service -- but with a somewhat limited menu. Fortunately, there are many more dining options within a short, inexpensive cab ride away. We'll certainly be going back to the 725 on our next trip to the city!
