Not 4 star and Not in Downtown

Pros: Free shuttle to downtown. Price would have been good if the place had actually been located downtown and provided 4 star amenities, quality and servi
Cons: Service, a 4 star hotel needs high quality customer service. The staff was amiable but not focused on serving customers. Facility is tired & dirty.
Location: Downtown Atlanta has a lot - aquarium, coke museum, college football hall of fame
We purchased this as a Top Secret 4 star hotel in Downtown Atlanta. It was neither. The facility was extremely tired, the staff was pleasant but not particularly attentive and our bathroom smelled strongly both urine and mildew. Also the property is near but not in the downtown area. One cannot walk to downtown. They did provide a free shuttle and the contract shuttle driver was by far the most attentive and helpful staff person at the hotel. The beds were comfortable, but this was nowhere near a four-star hotel experience, I would say it is more like a 2 star, maybe 2.5 star at best. I am very disappointed in Travelocity for marketing this as a 4 star hotel. I would not recommend this hotel. We almost chose the Omni for an additional $50 per night and I really regret not doing so.

Do not go

Pros: nothing
Cons: everything
Location: terrible location, no walking access to food, anything.
I never wrote a negative review, but do not go here under any circumstances. The place needs to be either gutted and rebuilt or torn down. It is stained, tired, smelly and just terrible. Not worth half the price. Staff were bored, did not look at me, no walking food options, the restaurant was bad, I ordered a take out and they lost the order. The breakfast bar was $16.00, $2.70 for a weak take out coffee. Just do not do it so they will go out of business.

Smelly room

It appears this hotel is undergoing renovations, so I can forgive the mess in the lobby. The room was clean although a little shabby, however it smelled of cigarette smoke. Thank goodness it was a very short overnight stay

Disappointing

Location to the field is the only positive. Hotel is ancient; way over priced. Had to pay extra to park on the hotel grounds; extra for breakfast which we declined; they said room amenities were extra but there was none in the room; there was no information about the area in the room! Paid over 250.00 for a room that wasn't worth 100.00. Rip off at best!!!! Travelocity should drop this one.

Great Hotel

We had a fabulous stay here from the very friendly, helpful staff to the clean, comfortable room! We also loved the shuttle service and especially Mike's and Mr. D's upbeat and friendly attitudes! The only disappointment for us was that there was no hot tub. We would highly recommend this hotel!

Over all it was nice my only issue was when I requested a microwave and refrigerator I was told it would be on the way I kept calling about it and I was told it would be on its way. However, when I went to the front desk about it they said they were out. Also, I wasn't satisfied with the food and beverage quality of the restaurant.

Bad area at night.

$18.00 to park at the hotel. A lot of foot traffic from the not so good nearby neighborhood.
