Shelter in place has significantly affected the service which is understandable but there is not much effort to compensate or improve amenities where it seems it would be possible. The facility and location are ideal. I am sure that things are much better in usual times, but I cannot say that I felt that the cost (though reduced) was worth it for the less than dazzling experience. There is no room service but no extra waters or hot beverages provided. In general right now businesses are expected to go the extra mile to demonstrate improved cleaning services, but the clock in our room is still on pre daylight savings time which indicates no one has cleaned in detail or simply that attention to detail is less than ideal. Bath water was discolored and stained one of their washcloths that stayed in the water “too long” and partially blocked the draining water. Would like to try again in normal times but I may not be able to talk my husband into it.

Celebrated a 50th birthday. The hotel grounds and room are breath taking, outside bar was phenomenal, the staff were friendly and helpful, the bed was like sleeping on a cloud!! My only disappointment was the Conservatory for dinner. The tables were cramped, kids were loud, wait staff was slow to check on us, and the food was pricey and only mediocre. Had we known the food would be better in the Novigo we would have waited for a table.

Wonderful staff match the surroundings

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
Stayed here for the second time and mentioned in the reservation that it was my wife's birthday. She received special attention and gifts both from the hotel and Navio restaurant. Staff are very friendly and go out of their way to provide extra service.

very comfy and awesome view

Pros: Quiet
Gave us glass of decent wine when we checked in. Parking was a bit pricey but they don't have many options there so you are stuck with it.

Nice hotel.... But overpriced.

Pros: Quiet, beautiful setting
Cons: too expensive
The Ritz Carlton at Half Moon Bay is set in a beautiful location. The staff was helpful and very polite. The cost of valet parking ($45 per night) and the food at the restaurant ($70 for 2 egg dishes) was outrageous. The rooms were average... Quite small for the $$$. I enjoyed the large bath tub though. Overall... My suggestion would be only to stay there if you can get a great deal....don't eat at resteraunt (downtown Half Moon Bay had some wonderful places!) and park your own car.

Beautiful Hotel!

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
We got the Terrace Firepit Room and it was amazing. Overlooked the Pacific Ocean and golf course. The spa is wonderful too, we had a massage and facial there and it was absolutely wonderful. The staff was very professional and couteous. We really enjoyed our stay in the San Francisco Bay area!
