Beautiful grounds

Pros: The grounds are very spacious with beatiful plants and gardens.
Cons: The rooms may need to be updated.
Location: Great location with walking to restaurants and shopping.
The grounds of the resort are beautiful and well kept. The pool area and beach were spacious and kept very clean. The outside bar was the perfect spot to sit at night and enjoy the entertainment. I would highly recommend the Hilton and hope to go back soon.

Great hotel and vacation

This was one of the best vacations I've been on in a while. The Hilton was very nice and the beach was just outside. Restaurants were nice, and so were the pools. The Hilton is in a great location. Everything is within a short walk or a minimal distance cab ride.

Beautiful hotel, near beach, friendly staff

Our first room was somewhat small. The hotel moved us immediately to a larger room at no extra cost. Very friendly and accommodating. We own a timeshare at Divi and would stay at Hilton again!!!!

Perfect location

Perfect location, right across from restaurants and night life. The staff was excellent! So friendly and accommodating. The grounds of the hotel were beautiful. We look forward to staying here again!

Be Advised when checking in

Pros: The meals we had at the Sunset Grille were outstanding! The location is superb. Staff very nice and helpful.
Cons: Honoring reservation requests. Room carpet was quite wrinkled and very worn down (tower 2).
Location: Location is terrific and there is just about ANY water activity you could possible think of is readily available.
Be advised of questionable check in practices. We had booked a room upgrade to king size bed. On arrival they told us that type of room was unavailable and they would need to put us in a room with 2 double beds (a downgrade) for the night then move us to our original choice the next day. We reluctantly accepted but we did notice that the people checking in next to us were given the same story but they did not agree to the arrangement. We went to the check-in desk several other times throughout our stay and while waiting for the next available clerk, again overheard the same excuses being given to newly arriving guests. It appears, after seeing/overhearing this same spiel given to several other guest over multiple days, that this is an established business practice for this particular hotel. It has been our experience that when a hotel (of this caliber) cannot honor our booking preferences, we are offered an upgrade not down or refund of the price difference if no other options available. This obviously did not happen. I do expect to have my choices honored when having made the reservation months in advance and paying extra for the upgrade. This is not at all what I expect when booking with Hilton hotels. So I would reluctantly recommend the hotel but caution other travelers to be wary of this business practice.

Excellent location

Loved the hotel. The location was perfect. Right in the heart of everything. The grounds of the hotel are gorgeous and the service and rooms were excellent. The beach here is clean and beautiful and was not overly crowded. The staff were very helpful with any requests we had. I will definitely stay here again.

Very comfortable hotel on the beach

Pros: The staff is top notch. The location is terrific. The hotel has all the amenities
Cons: no comment
Location: Locations is perfect - close to shopping, restaurants,and water activities.
Hotel has all the amenities. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would return to this hotel with no hesitation. The location is terrific with several restaurants on site and close by.

Checked out early and moved to another hotel.

Pros: The outdoor property.
Cons: Staff training and the rooms desperately need to be updated.
My husband and I stayed at this property almost 12 years ago for our honeymoon and decided to return. Back then it was a Radisson and was since acquired by Hilton. The outdoor property is as lush and beautiful as ever, truly one of the nicest set ups on that stretch of beach. But unfortunately the rooms have NOT changed and are showing a great deal of wear and tear. Rust in the tub, carpets are puckering, and they have an overall tired appearance. But we felt that was ok and soldiered on. We decided to leave this property (thus losing $$ since we booked with Expedia) upon dealing with staff that could barely say hello and an OVER CROWDED beach. When the cruise ships come in they come to this stretch of beach and it got entirely too busy. What really put us over the edge is when we were checking out and the front desk NEVER inquired as to why we were leaving early. I heard from locals that when it was a Radisson, employees were promised a 3% raise...but when Hilton took over they only received a 1% raise. If that is true, it is very apparent. There were only 2 employees that met and exceeded our expectations - Anastascia of the front desk and Juan our waiter from the Sunset Grille (our meal was wonderful). We ended up going to the Ritz Carlton for the remainder of our stay - when you have such a short time for a well-earned vacation you just don't want to put up with unsatisfactory conditions. We hope that things will improve in the future.
