Aruba

Pros: Everything, location, staff, food, cleanliness, quiet, the list goes on, not one complaint
Cons: Just more vacation time
Location: Eagle beach location perfect, into town one way 10 mins up to Palm beach 10 mins the other way
First time in Aruba first time at the Amsterdam Manor, both awesome would highly recommend to anyone. Stayed for 10 nights could not find fault with anything.

A lovely Experience

Pros: Quiet location. Beautiful beach.
Cons: Towels should be available at the pool. Beach attendants could be more helpful. Bottled water should be provided with room.
Location: Beach, restaurants, shopping nearby but many are not within walking distance.
Located on Eagle Beach in the "low rise" section. Quiet and peaceful. Rooms are clean. Staff is friendly, efficient and helpful. Would recommend renting a vehicle. Many sites and attractions not within walking distance. Taxis can be costly.

Great location with outstanding staff!!!

The staff was extremely friendly and attentive at every function from wait staff (Juan, Marleny and others) at Mangos (at breakfast) to Vincent and Keyshawn at Passions. Eagle Beach across the street with beach loungers was all I needed in the morning and afternoon. I can see why so many visitors come back to the Amsterdam Manor.

Amsterdam Manor

Pros: Small an cozy. Staff were welcoming and helpful.
Cons: Towels available at the pool. Hot tub would have been nice.
Location: Directly across from Eagle beach. You have to travel if you want to go downtown or to the North end (High rise hotels).
Ideal location for me & my girlfriend - away from all the hustle/bustle and was relaxing. Very close to the local grocery store - within walking distance. Across the street from Eagle Beach which was beautiful! All staff were very helpful. Sunset Catamaran cruise was wonderful - left from Palm Beach. Half day island tour was informative and enjoyable. Food cost are high - likely due to everything being imported. 15% gratuity is added at the resort and at some offsite eateries (divided among cooks/food prep workers/dish washers/wait staff). For inter-island travel we used the bus system which is reasonable and runs every 20 minutes. There were an ample number of cabs available as well.

Pros: Everything.
Location: The beach is right across the street. The bus stop is right out front so if you don't want to rent a car, transportation is readily available.
We were thoroughly pleased with the Amsterdam Manor resort. From the location of the beach to the resort itself, we liked the small family owned feeling. Customer service was top notch. The grocery store was within walking distance which we utilized. We liked that all rooms had a kitchenette. From the fluffy big bath towels to the chocolates handed out every evening, we felt that the staff really cared that we were staying at their place. We would return.

Great hotel close to the beach!

We felt right at home! We loved how close the beach was - perfect beach cabanas and calm waters with water sport activities very near! We enjoyed the kitchen in our room and were very comfortable in a 2 bedroom with plenty of space for a family of 5. The staff is very friendly and treats you like family!! Our concierge was extremely helpful with booking reservations.

A+ Acomodation!

Pros: Quiet, Perfect location, great room, great restaurants, just the right amenities, and great staff!
Cons: Not a thing
Location: Perfect location across from Eagle beach, great food, casino and grocery store within walking distance. A short bus ride to do all the touristy things
This is the PERFECT hotel to stay at while in Aruba! It is quiet, beautiful and across the street from the best beach in Aruba. We visited the palm beach resorts area and it was loud, congested and there were people everywhere. The staff at Amsterdam Manor were wonderful, our room was lovely( ask for room 214!). It was spacious and had a great view of the water. There is no 1-10 scale here...it was the best vacation we have ever had, all thanks to Amsterdam Manor. We are already planning to go back to Aruba and we would not stay anywhere else!

Very nice realxing vacation

Pros: The friendliness of the staff, the cleaness of the rooms, the beach is awesome ad beautiful.
Cons: Having a place to shower and change prior to out late in the day flight.
Location: About 1.5 - 2 miles away there is many resturants, we took a carriage ride.
The hotel was very clean, the staff was always friendly and helpful. Our room was ready when we arrived, we were upgraded which was very nice. Passions restaurant has very delicious food, we ate lunch there and had dinner on the beach. The grocery store is just about a 8 - 10 minute walk, we were able to get food for meals when we did not want to eat out. They have a lot of foods we have in the US. We had a late flight, and wish we could of had a place to shower prior to leaving, we showered on the beach, which was kinda of weird. They did give us a place to change.

Great hotel, uncomfortable beds

I love everything about The Amsterdam, with the exception of the beds and linens. This was our 6th visit. We slept poorly every night. This will not keep us from coming back because it's the perfect for location and size for us. I only hope that they update the mattress, sheets and towels soon.

Like coming home!

Pros: Across street from beach, quiet pool area. Beautiful, but not fancy. Very clean, rooms renovated recently, have kitchenettes. Great breakfast buffet.
Cons: Sour smell on the beach at times, I think from the wooden structures (bar, etc)
Location: Location is great for relaxing, 2 blocks from the grocery store. Need to get a cab to go to most restaurants or night life. Passions restaurant great.
We had been to this hotel one before, and some of the staff remembered us, as we did them! Very friendly, treat you like family (in a good way!) Gave us a bottle of wine since we were returning guests! Concierge and front desk very helpful.
