Do Not Stay At This Hotel

Pros: The Staff.
Cons: Most of the staff, as nice as they are, can barely speak a word of English. It makes communicating very difficult for guests who do not speak Spanish.
Location: Very bad/noisy location.
The best thing about this hotel is the staff. They are all so nice and helpful. For the price, the rooms are nice and clean, and the lobby area is cozy and nice. The breakfast is nice though the first morning I was there I waited about an hour for my breakfast, because only one girl was working and there were so many guests. The location of this hotel is horrendous. It seemed like a bad neighborhood to me, and I would not leave the hotel at night. I was on edge during my entire stay, because I was traveling alone. There is a lot of noise at night, both inside and outside the hotel. People shout and yell in the corridor and outside the hotel in the middle of the night. On all three nights I was there, drunk people would congregate outside where I could see them outside my window, blaring music out of their cars and dancing. At 3:00am!!! It was the most aggravating experience. The closest beach, Cortecito, is at least a 20 minute walk. I wanted to open myself up to a new experience by not booking a stay at a resort. I wanted to be able to mingle with the locals and enjoy the people. I did manage to meet some really nice people, but, like I said before, this is not the ideal neighborhood to be walking around, especially with the limited knowledge of Spanish that I have. It's not that it's necessarily dangerous, but a lot of idlers gather along the shops and stare and cat-call as you walk by. Not a pleasant experience. I would NEVER stay at this hotel again.

Nice place in the middle of Bavaro

I really liked staying here I would rather chose this instead of the all inclusive I stayed in the second part of my trip. This is better for a solo traveller. There are good restaurants in the town to eat, I recommend the one opposite the gas station. Plenty of souvenir shops outside. The hotel was clean, the bed hard but I loved it. Staff doesn't really speak English but they are extremly helpful. The only negative thing about the hitel is the distance from a beach I can see this might be a problem for dome people. - I took a motoconcho every day As a summary I would love to stay here again it's a great deal.
