The proximity to Perkins Restaurant for a meal was great. Didn't need to get back in the car after a long drive. Also the grab & go breakfast was much appreciated as well knowing that we had several hundred miles to drive the next morning. We inadvertently hung a lightweight jacket in the closet the night of our stay and left it behind. We realized that we didn't have it later on that day and when we called the hotel, we were told no one had been able to locate it. Neither one of us remembered to check the closet before leaving, and we are wondering if a staff member may have tossed it, or just kept it. It was our mistake of course, and we have replaced it, but it just doesn't make sense that it wasn't located. The other negative I would mention is that the front desk person seemed very overwhelmed with people checking in as well as phone calls. Additionally, they ran out of towels to use at the pool area - the guest waiting for towels at the front desk was given the last two according to the clerk who also said they wouldn't have any more until the next day. Seems unusual for a such a large hotel with a major chain to have these issues. If we were to travel to Tomah again, we would consider staying there since these were minor issues that hopefully wouldn't occur again.

Room was huge! Knew about the fridge and microwave but the chair and ottoman were a pleasant surprise. Water pressure in the shower was amazing!!!!! Absolutely only negative was the pillows sucked Buti should have known better, will bring my own next time.

Quiet, Clean, and Convenient

Pros: Nice pool, exercise room. Convenient inside hallway connecting to sports bar and Perkins restaurant, so no need to fear the bad weather.
Cons: Very comfortable room, but closet was small for winter travel garb. A coat tree in one corner would have been appreciated.
Location: Mostly in the area to visit Fort McCoy and make connection with family in Madison.
Needed an overnight resting spot and felt very fortunate to find this gem in Tomah, WI. Even though a New Year's Eve party was going on that night, we did not hear anything and slept comfortably through the night. Definitely plan to stay again next time we visit Fort McCoy.

Has deteriorated significantly. Will not stay again.

Pros: Free Internet
Cons: dirty, poor service, inconsiderate staff, inconsistent internet quality
I have stayed in this hotel at least 6 times in the past 3 years when I travel here on business. It used to be a good hotel - not exceptional but solid value for the money and good to great staff. Sadly that is no longer the case. The rooms used to be spotless, but this time there were bugs (live) and ??stains?? The staff has adopted the "Hey - I get paid whether you are happy or not" attitude. The most dramatic change is in the attached "Perkins" restaurant. Used to be a part of the hotel. Now they are "not connected". There are room service menus available, but you can't charge it to your room AND the orders were cold and incomplete. To make up for it the manager was not helpful. I just don't like snotty attitude. And the internet is a joke - occasionally you will get a fair strength 11Mbps signal. Occasionally.
