Just as advertised. Across the street from the beach (very rocky), and beach view from balcony.. Supermarket around the corner. Brush up on your Spanish to communicate with the host. Great place for 5 of us for 6 nights. Second room with twin beds is on the tight side. Go into the upper town for more authentic Spanish food and tapas bars..

Winter in the Sun
We arrived in Almunecar on Christmas Eve about 6pm, Enrique had sent us instructions to collect the keys, his instructions were very clear and concise. The apartment is as described, the rooms are all of an excellent size - myself, my partner and our small dog stayed for 5 1/2 weeks and we had friends / family visit us during this time - plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen is separate from the living / dining area and includes an oven (not just a microwave), which is one of the main reasons for choosing Enrique's apartment, also the kitchen is very well equipped with all the dishes, cutlery, pots and pans etc you need for self catering. The beds are really comfortable and the shower has great pressure and always loads of hot water. A fantastic sunset can be viewed from the balcony every night. There is a Mercadona supermarket on the next street and only 10 minutes walk to both Lidl and Aldi. Very easy walk into town with numerous bars and restaurants to choose from. I would suggest a look around the market which is held on a Friday in the big car park opposite Lidl / Aldi. As we visited during the Winter we had no problem finding a car parking space near the apartment, although I expect this would be different in the height of Summer. Overall we had a great stay and I would recommend Enrique's apartment for a stay in Almunecar.

A month in Almunecar
Enriques place is in a great location, just a one minute stroll to the beach and restaurants. The furniture is very Spanish and a bit dated, as you can seein the photos, but good enough for a pleasant stay and the apartment was clean and tidy and has a lift. Within a 5minute walk you have a Mercadona and its a very pleasant stroll into the centre of the old town. There is a car park about 150 mtrs from the apartment and you can purchase long term tickets at or near the bus station. Although, being I was there in April and May parking in the street was no problem, and I always found a space near the apartment. The apartment is spacious and has three bedrooms. Overall I think it was good value at the price.

Month-long stay in the sun
Although the furniture and equipment in the apartment appeared quite old everything worked fine and was very comfortable. Always lots of hot water for the powerful shower and the bed was very comfy. The apartment is in a good central location with a great sea view from the balcony. Quite a lot of traffic noise on the balcony during the day (not the fault of the owner!) but nice and quiet at night. One morning we lost all power to the kitchen, we reported this to our contact Isobel at 10:30 am and she arranged for an electrician who fixed it by 1:00 pm, I wish we could get tradesmen that quickly at home. Thanks Isobel for your help. We would happily stay here again.

Beste tijd gehad
Het appartement was ruim maar gedateerd. Zowel het interieur als de voorzieningen waren oud. Het fornuis/ oven en wasmachine waren vuil. Deze hebben we eerst zelf grondig gereinigd. Ook de afvoeren van badkamer waren vuil en stonken, ondanks dat we daar zelf reiniger in gedaan hadden. Het hele appartement zou een opknapbeurt moeten krijgen voor een volgende huurder. Ook bleek de elektrische bedrading op enkele plekken te zijn doorgebrand waardoor er enkele malen kortsluiting ontstond. Maar we begrepen dat het te koop staat. Wel moet gezegd dat de verhuurder snel reageert op onze vragen en herstelacties in gang zet.

Oversolgt på beliggenhed
Ingen sol overhovedet, toiletsæder knækket eller passede ikke. Utrolig støvet samt snavset lejlighed. Diverse loftbelysning var sprunget. Stikkontakter 2stk i stykker, flere af de øvrige var ved at ryge ud af væggene. Ingen rengøringsmidler, kost og fejeblad slidt og ubrugelige . Håndklæder slidte og få, et viskestykke til 4 ugers ferie. Spisestuestole samt ene sofa var ved at bryde sammen. Kontaktperson var ukontaktbar under hele ferien, tog ikke telefonen og svarede ikke tilbage når vi skrev til hende. . Elkedel brød sammen. Lille kaffebrygger til 3 personer. Direkte ulækker brusekabine- sorte kanter overalt. Alt i alt en stor skuffelse at standarden var så ringe samt mangelfuld. Vi vil derfor ikke anbefale lejligheden til nogen.
