Nice place

Person at the front desk who checked us in was very customer service oriented. Wish I could remember her name. She deserves 5 stars. The room. We had issues with trying to adjust the thermostat but could not. Made things uncomfortable. It would get very cold at night. Too cold. The room had a very strange smell. Guess I should have addressed these issue with the hotel. My fault for just letting it go and having miserable nights. Other than those issues. The hotel was good.

Friendly staff, clean rooms

I was there for a conference. The meeting rooms were freezing cold but otherwise it was great. The actual rooms were excellent. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely come back again. The food was great. I love the happy hour each night from 530-730. The room service was good as well. It didn't take too long to come up to the room ever and the waiters were always very nice.

Would Give It One More Chance

We had a frustrating check-in experience with an ambivalent employee, however I spoke later with a manager and she was very kind and apologetic. Except for the check-in employee all the staff was friendly, especially Frank the morning chef. He cooks excellent made to order food and really takes pride in his job. We had a premium suite, which was nice as it provided us with free unlimited snacks. My kids got a kick out of picking out a treat each day. We knew when we booked the trip that the hot tub was unavailable due to maintenance and because of this the indoor pool would not be heated. However, we were not expecting murky pool water. It was cloudy and looked as though it had not been chemically treated recently. The pool deck was filthy, littered with trash and plates. At 9 am the basket of used towels was overflowing and the supply of clean towels was sparse. I would give this place one more try in hopes that we simply experienced some glitches along the way that don't happen on a regular basis.

I am happy to hear the manager was able to assist you after the front desk clerk issues. The chef in the morning is great and I happy Frank helped out your children. We do apologize about the hot tub and pool issues. The pool heaters are here and we are installing them today. I will address the housekeeping issues as well. Thanks for the review. Obed M.

Nice, but dirty

Pros: Breakfast buffet and happy hour.
Cons: Room cleaning
Location: Accessible
In the way in Every thing looks great..... Until you get to the room...... they really need to pay attention to room cleaniness... I could see the toothpaste under the mirror from the people who stayed before (hopefully!.. And not the people before them), the glasses where dirty, my kid found trash on one side of the couch and the carpet had stains and it didn't look like they vacuumed it.....good thing that we just slept there.... But....The beds where awesome, really comfortable, sheets smelled clean, NICE breakfast buffet (lots of options) and we LOVED the happy hour!

The room description was very misleading

Pros: Free breakfast
Cons: No free Internet
I love the Embassy Suites, and will certainly stay with them again, however the description of the room "Two room suite" led me to believe that it was a two bedroom suite. It was not- we ended up with 7 people in a one bedroom suite. The hotel could not offer any solutions- not even an extra fold out couch mattress to put on the floor, so we bought an air mattress and were very crowded.

Very disappointed; will never stay again. Very pricey, poor service

Pros: Free breakfast
Cons: No free Internet
I was very disappointed with my stay; the first night I asked for extra pillows. I was assured that the pillows were going to be sent to my room; I never recieved them. My shower drain didn't work right; I had to bathe in my own filty water. I complained and was given a different room. The staff weren't very attentative; I noticed wine glasses & dirty plates in the walk ways that were never picked up. A dirty wine glass laid in the walk way my entire stay. I stayed 3 nights & my family and I had four rooms total. I complianed about my childrens room which had a stopped up drain but nothing was done about it.

An outstanding accomodation with an outstanding staff

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Quiet
Cons: No free Internet
Our stay was over Christmas and the accomodations and staff were outstanding during our stay with restaurant and other services fully available. The staff accomodated our every wish and provided a full service with a smile. The interior of the hotel was truly eye candy providing a feeling of openess and warmth. Free breakfast and free afternoon cocktails, well what more can one say about that. Ooh-Rah!

Great for long stay, clean, good food but weak service

This hotel worked beautifully for a long family stay in two connecting suites. Specify a room on the city side to see the sparkling lights of the city sprawling across the desert at night, and hot-air balloons sailing in the morning. Rooms on the mountain side of the hotel have views of the Sandias, but over the freeway -- and that's also the side of the hotel aggressively lit by floodlights that will have you yanking your curtains shut. The front-desk staff was exceptional, both before and during our visit. Our rooms were impeccably clean and well-furnished. Quality linens and cushy pillows made it a pleasure to sink into bed at the end of our busy days. The pool is large and pleasant. The location was central for car trips in all directions. Jumping on the interstate required a lengthy drive on frontage roads, but exit ramps to the hotel were much closer. The neighborhood appeared safe, though we didn't see much you'd want to walk to. The full-service restaurant had the best food I've ever eaten in a hotel of this class -- Somebody in the kitchen has definitely got it going on! We'd planned to dine there just once, but liked it so much we ate there a second time. Both meals were marred by bizarrely poor service. The staff was friendly, there were plenty of servers on hand, and we never did figure out why the service was continually, and almost comically, goofed up. Perfectly prepared entrees, with interesting sides, were compensation. The free reception was lackluster, with snacks you wouldn't eat at home (Good & Plenty licorice with a margarita?). The free breakfast was quite good, with choices to suit anyone from oatmeal & yogurt to bacon & sausage. A good value for our group.

Overall a good stay

Great hotel for the most part, except that there was no free internet. Otherwise good breakfast, clean and spacious suites. I also stayed at Homewood suites and the Residence Inn, and found Homewood suites to be the best deal of the three and Residence Inn the worst.
