Maria at the FD was superb. Great customer service. We didnt expect the Breakers hotel we expected less because of the rating. However, we were pleasantly surprised.. We were very happy with the room, the pool, wifi, ease of access, and ESPECIALLY the staff.

I am very upset that I could not make it to my hotel stay because of an emergency and I was broke down in the Ocala Forest, but this hotel and Travelocity charged me for my stay even though I explained the situation, asked not to charge me and cancelled right away.

For a Budget Motel for an overnight stay it was good. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly and efficient. Nice television and free wi-fi. Breakfast buffet was good. Eggs were hot, link sausage was great, muffins were fresh, the bananas were perfect. The room needed one of the lights over the vanity changed, as it was out, I was told at check in and maintenance would be around to fix it. Two of the vanity lights over the sink were out, the shower had a bad crack in the wallboard and maintenance never showed up. Check out was easy.

The property looked ok from the outside but when you walk in the room it smelt musty. While in the room we found German roaches. If we did not have two small kids with us and if it was not late we would have not stayed the night. We had to leave our luggage out in the car due to not wanting to take any home with us. The roaches came from under the refrigerator and along the base boards.
