Pros:the beach
Cons:yes open all the 10 restaurants you claim to have.
don't make the travelers reserve the restaurants at the front desk, its so inconvenient.
Location:not close to the airport. it was close to Tulum which i didn't care for.
This hotel was a couple hours away from the airport, not a pleasant ride after a long day at the airport. We got there and tried to check in, they found a typo on the reservation, so they charged me extra for one person accommodation. I fixed the problem when I got back but the staff were not understanding and they think your in Mexico, you have to pay no matter what.
They tell you that they have 10 restaurants, that's wrong. there were only about a hand full that I saw and only a few were open. Its a good think we liked the buffet food. Also, you have to go to the front desk everyday and book a restaurant for dinner if you want to go the restaurants, that was weird to me. They also told us that if we lost our bracelets, its a 100 dollar charge, why?? Oh well. Crazy rules when your on vacation, you want to relax and not worry about all this.
The best part of our stay was the beach, we spent a lot of time at the beach and went snorkeling right on the beach and they provided gear for free. I thought that was very nice. Also, nightly entertainment was nice, they had a show every night. don't expect to party here, its the relaxing hotel. They wont even play any music on the beach. I thought music was relaxing?? the Mexicans don't I guess.
Overall, it was ok. I think that they can make the services a lot more accommodating. I did enjoy some of my stay at the grand oasis Tulum only because of the beach.
