"It truly was one of the most relaxing experiences"
Lovely place, wonderful staff, exquisite food, cozy atmosphere of a small resort. Why I recommend these resort over others: 1. There is restaurant on the beach that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can enjoy tropical ocean breeze while having your morning coffee or evening glass of wine. This restaurant is not to be mistaken for a fast food cabana, quality of the food is outstanding, freshly caught fish is offered every day. My husband and I were especially impressed by octopus and lobster on the menu. 2. There are umbrellas on the beach that provide protection from the sun, not all resorts offer that. 3. The pool near the beach has a swim-up bar. We kind of got into routine of spending the day a the beach and then moving over to the pool that offered some afternoon shade. 4. Staff. I should probably put it at the top of my list, as it is one of the main reasons why we would come back. They literally were reading our mind, watching out for our every move to make sure we are happy. Incredible customer service. Genuinely nice people. 5. Food. Well above our expectations. Smoothy/ice cream/waffle cabana. Sushi bar, 2 restaurants near the beach, 2 more formal once. Around noon snack cabana on the beach offers something different every day. Room service 24/7 (all included) 6. Rooms are nice, air conditioned, stocked bar and mini fridge (all included)

"Great hotel for Honeymooners"
My husband and I went here for a quick 5 day vacation to relax. We are in our early 50's. This place is full of Honeymooners! It is a wonderful spot for them. Not so much if you are our age. The place itself is beautiful. Very well kept and plenty to do. The rooms are spacious and very nice. The pools are beautiful and plenty of seating room. The downside for our age is that the hotel and restaurants cater to the Newlyweds. When we asked for a nicer more secluded table at dinner we were told no, they are reserved for Honeymooners. They then did give us a better table after we were not very pleased. Also, the food is just okay. They offer a lot of different restaurants with is nice but we are foodies and the food here is not very good. The wait staff is excellent and make up for the not so great food. If you do go, the French Restaurant had the best food. Room service was prompt but the food was horrible! Better off going to the restaurants. Because it is a younger crowd mostly, there is a lot of drinking and people tend to become very loud and we had to listen to some conversations and language that was very inappropriate in public.(No, we are not prudes!) The wait staff and housekeeping was excellent . The front desk was frustrating. Long waits, and not helpful when I was trying to get information. Again, great place for honeymooners and mid 20-30 year olds.

Le Blanc Spa Resort All Inclusive

Boulevard Kukulcan Km 10, Cancun - Map
"Must read on Le Blanc (Nov. 2013)"
I'm generally not inclined to write reviews, although I read them religiously, but my experience at Le Blanc required an exception. First to set some expectations, readers should know (1) I'm married - late 30's (2) Fortune 25 executive  (3) from the Northeast - NJ and (4) preferred hotels are Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton and St. Regis. I rarely have non-business related travel so a vacation (away from our toddler) is a real treat. Why we chose Le Blanc? Based on lots of reviews and additional research. I also exchanged notes with Andreas, the General Manager and was very impressed with his follow-up to my questions. What we really liked? Everything! You will truly be spoiled at this Resort. A honeymoon suite or better is a must and I would recommend suites 803 - 811 (8th Floor) - these rooms have ocean views. Hugo was our favorite Butler and very eager to make our vacation as wonderful as possible. What we really loved? The Food The Italian restaurant (ask for Gabriel to ensure exceptional service) was out of this world. The shrimp risotto changed my life and my husband still dreams about the veal osso buco. Israel, the Manager, ensured each dinner was better than the last. We ate there four times during a 7 day vacation! A very close second to the Italian was the Oriental Restaurant (ask for Reynaldo, he will take excellent care of you). The grouper and sushi were     noteworthy. The Spa I've enjoyed spa services around the world and was very impressed with all of my treatments at Le Blanc. The space is really gorgeous and truly relaxing. I would highly recommend, Leleni and Sara for the couples romantic massage. The Spa prices are expensive($350) for 60 minute couples massage and the resorts credits are capped at $500 out of the $1500 resort credit promotion for spa use. Despite the cost, I plan on adding another massage during my next trip due to the high quality of service and technique. I also had a shellac manicure but for $100, would probably just opt to upgrade to a facial. Room for improvement / "Opportunities": Rooms The rooms are well appointed with very comfortable beds. We enjoyed the pillow menu and dual shower heads. I did notice some "wear & tear" in the shower area (rust) as stated by another Reviewer but it was superficial and minor. Breakfast at the International Restaurant The breakfast at the International Restaurant was very average. I think room service was better for breakfast. They have a smoked salmon trio which was fabulous day or night. We enjoyed the buffet lunch at the International Restaurant  6 days in a row. Travel Tips for Le Blanc: 1. Floors 6 -9 ocean view / Honeymoon Suites have the most spectacular views. The Third Floor is all smoking and if you suffer from allergies, the lagoon can be brutal. We took some photos in the lagoon and that evening I had a terrible sinus headache. 2. Pass on the Palace Resort sales pitch breakfast. In my opinion, the other Palace resorts fail miserably in comparison to Le Blanc. In addition, sales people like Miguel reflect badly on the entire Palace brand. 3. Spa reservations fill quickly so make them, as soon as, you arrive. 4. Although tipping is not required or expected, I brought 100 dollars in 5's and 150 dollars in 1's. The Le Blanc staff make this resort 5 stars so please appreciate their amazing service. 5. Pre-arrange your hotel transfers, prior to the trip, details are contained on the Le Blanc website. We found the less expensive ($86 round trip) group transfer very adequate versus ($200) private car. 6. Be prepared to be treated like royalty! From the lavender aromatherapy in the lobby to the frozen Hawaiians poolside, relaxation, amazing photos and a zen like peace are abound at Le Blanc! See you there. Sent from my iPhone

"Beautifull resort, great beach"
My fiancee and I stayed at The Finest July 27-Aug 2 and had a fantastic stay overall. We had stayed nextdoor at The Excellence Playa Mujeres 3 years ago and loved it as well. Although The Finest just opened in February, was clean and new, we liked the Excellence rooms better. The Excellence had elevated poster beds and a more romantic ambiance. The Excellence is also adults only, which may be the reason for the more romantic rooms/comforts. We stayed in The Excellence Club level at both resorts. We thought The Finest had some areas that still needed some fine tuning due to its newness though. Although The Finest had separated areas for Adults Only, the signs were often ignored by children and their parents if they were around. The staff did a great job at the beach separating the Adults only area and we loved our days at the beach. Guadelupe and Angel waited on us everyday at the beach and were absolutely precious, tireless, engaging and fun to interact with. The Sky Bar I thought was Adults only, but children were up there every night, usually well behaved, but their presence hampered some of our ability to cut loose and have adult fun, not crazy college spring break fun, but adult conversation/language/drinking/talking louder than just in whispers. The grounds and pools were immaculate. The Tennis court was new and beautiful with a surface the same as Indian Wells. The tennis pro Eddy was excellent. He was accomodating, insightful, had fun stories and gave great tips.
