Hotel Burnham, a Kimpton Hotel

"Two blocks from Millennium Park"
So much to like about this hotel. You can see Millennium Park from the front door. The structural features, gorgeous marble interiors, beautiful understated art and photos--these totally made up for the smallish room (quite cozy and European). The staff was outstanding. Best of all, the restaurant in the lobby was fabulous--delicious innovative dishes. We ate dinner and brunch and both were memorable. And Macy's across the street in the old Marshall Field building still sells Frango chocolates. We came for the Jazz Fest and will be back.

"Historial hotel close to the Art Institute"
This was a ladies trip to tour the Art Institute mainly. We were looking for a lovely historical hotel but one where the rooms were comfortable and updated. This hotel was exactly what we were looking for. The staff was friendly and attentive. The location was perfect for us. We spent 2 nights here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

"Friendly Staff and Nice Amenities"
Staff at the Dana Hotel were very accommodating, helpful and knowledgeable about the hotel and the area. Each encountered staff member offered a friendly greeting and the amenities of the hotel were very nice. Nice views also. The shower was really cool and bed comfortable. Fan very dim but other than that no complaints at all!

"A nice weekend stay "
This hotel worked fine for me. The location was near where I needed to be. My room was very comfortable. They are doing some remodeling but it wasn't an inconvenience. It would be nice to have a coffee shop on site, since I wasn't interested in a sit down breakfast, but there was in room coffee, also a Dunkin Donuts across the parking lot. The staff was courteous and professional.

"Timeless Class"
The Drake is simply a classy experience beginning to end! Beautiful room, excellent facilities, top notch food, and cocktails crafted to perfection, not the watered down flavorless mess you get elsewhere. I will definitely put the Drake at the top of my list when staying in Chicago!

"Nice airport hotel, great staff."
Needs a moderate-priced restaurant. Only one on site - high-priced Shula's. No other options. Shula's Restaurant is highly over-rated. It's just expensive! Hotel is not within walking distance of any other facilities. If you can forego the daily maid service, you get a $5 daily chit to be used in the breakfast restaurant. A good deal. No shuttle service to airport (O'Hare), but hotel has a contract with several taxi companies for a $30 flat rate from hotel to airport (or reverse). Normal cab fare is about $50. Also a good deal. Carpeting in my hallway (7th floor) had several paint spills that should have been cleaned up or cut out. I was there for a 3-day convention and with the center atrium I was very comfortable and did not have to leave. Nice open feeling. Computer in lobby for guest use: E-mails and the like. In-room Internet is $9.95 per day - not a good deal. I'd stay there again.

"Chicago Humanities Festival- Lincoln Hotel"
We live in downtown Chicago, but with tickets to an evening Chicago Humanities Festival event at Park West, we decided to "staycate" at the Lincoln. We were very impressed. The rooms are small (it's an old hotel, nicely refurbished) but very comfortable. They have all the necessary amenities. We loved the whimsical art in the rooms (Lincoln, in modern casual dress in what appears to be an art studio, was a nice touch). The rooftop bar is one we intend to return to. The staff is friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will staycate at the Lincoln again.

"Upgrade to the expense of the hotel. . ."
Pretty decent hotel. Elevators were old and in need of remodeling. The rooms could use a microwave. Called for new bed linens and the housekeeping guy brought the linens in the room, sat them down and walked out!!! I was under the impression after speaking with the front desk personnel that he'd remake the bed!! Not!! It could possibly use an upgrade. But it was ok overall.

"Boutique hotel with a great staff! "
We stayed in a loft room for an extended weekend. The bed and bedding were comfortable and great, even the sofa bed which is hardly ever the case! Our only complaint was that the bathroom was small for 4 people and there was a shortage of plugs. Other than that, it was a perfect stay!!
