"Bach. Party"
Stayed for two nights. Great location in Rosemont and had shuttles everywhere else to get us down town. Staff very friendly and helpful. Had some cocktails starting at the hotel, friendly bartender from the area directed us to the hot spots. Rooms were clean. Great experience.

"Good, not great"
THE GOOD- Stayed at the Aloft for a business trip. Check in was very quick an easy. The front desk is very centrally located, and every time I walked by I was greated by the friendly staff. Hotel is decorated very modern and tries very hard to be hip. It almost works, but the location doesn't quite fit the vibe of the hotel. It's located in a suburban shopping plaza. Seems more like a downtown hotel to me, but either way it's neat. Feels like you're living in an ikea store - which incidentally is right down the road. Loved the shower - glass door, nice wide shower head, and there were soap & shampoo dispensers built in the wall! Very neat. Nice new large flatscreen TV on the wall - but the satellite reception is quite poor. THE BAD- My biggest complaint was the room size and storage areas. No dresser drawers and limited space/hangers to hang clothes. Luckily I was by myself. If I traveled with my husband, I can't imagine where we would have put all of our stuff. Pillows were also HUGE. Hurt my neck both nights. Another dissapointing thing - very limited breakfast options. Tiny boxes of cereal, yogurt, only fruit was apples, and a few muffins. It was a little pricy for such a limited selection and serve yourself environment. It was basically a continental breakfast that I had to pay for. OVERALL- Other than the size of the room, lack of storage space, and lack of breakfast choices - it was very clean and the staff was great. If you want a place to stay in the suburbs but still want to be cool - stay here.

"Low price, convenient, comfy bed, horrific waiter"
I was allowed to check-in early which was a lifesaver. I was so far away from the lobby, I really didn't interact with the front desk so I can't say how their service was; however, I was constantly running into the housekeeping staff and they were cool, not warm. Not a big deal. There was a lot of construction around the facility which was annoying but again, it happens! The restaurant, Mirage, had no bar due to construction so my friend and I sat in a comfy booth to get a beer. A tall, middle-aged man with a deep accent and a grey ponytail never greeted us but instead said, "have a beer/we have this and this on tap". We ordered a couple beers and later my friend inquired about the desserts and mentioned she might want an Old Fashioned. He said that the tiramisu was the best you've ever had to which I replied in a jocular manner, "Oh yes? Do you make it here?" He then says, "No. We buy it. We put it on the plate. But I know what I'm talking about!" I replied, "I don't know..." trying to calm him down. He replies, "Well, you don't know what you're talking about! I don't know where you're from, but you don't know what you're talking about!" My mouth was on the floor. I couldn't believe he was so adamantly rude and condescending. He looks at my friend, "where are you from? Ordering a brandy old-fashioned?!!" She lives in Milwaukee...He says, "That explains it! I knew you were from Wisconsin!" like it was an insult. I decided to never acknowledge him for the rest of the night.
