4th stay at the Element. Only complaint is the hand-held shower getting water all over the bathroom floor. Which was, I will add, very clean.
Check-in was a breeze, very friendly staff who were extremely helpful. Free internet was fast and reliable, free access to their 24-hr business office where I printed my boarding pass at no charge.
This is a good place to stay and explore NYC. It is across the street from Bryant Park, a nice place to rest, have coffee and people watch. Next to the Park is the NYC library, which is a treat to visit and quite beautiful.
Hotel was well-located for our purposes. Only a few blocks from Penn Station and convenient walk to theater, selected restaurants. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Room was very generous in size, especially for NYC. Hot/cold buffet breakfast included.
The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance of Times Square and Central Park. The kitchette in the room is great and a very convenient feature. Hot breakfast every day was very appreciated. Concierge service excellent. Desk clerks excellent. Bell hops very very helpful. Most important, we did not hear any noise, incl. sirens and car horns, as well as other guests, the whole time in our room.
They seem to pride themselves on "free" internet, but it was awful. An ad said we could upgrade for $4.95. Just charge me the extra $5 and don't tell me the Internet is free! Other than that the hotel was perfect.
