My arrival at the Salisbury Hotel was late at night and the check in was excellent. The room was satisfactory and comfortable. The staff was helpful in letting me know where I could get something to eat within walking distance. The location was good as I was able to do shopping and eat within a few steps from the hotel. The staff was always making sure that if I needed help with transportation or anything, they made sure I could be helped in getting it. All staff members were helpful, professional, and provided me with sincere caring. .

The location is good. Walking distance to Times Square and theaters is easy. Inside our room its clean, a little old so don't expect new and fresh look. Overall I won't complain. We had one room suite, 15th floor with small kitchen. The bed was very comfortable, the sofa bed was not, felt bad for my daughter, but she was just happy to be in NY. Subways can be tricky to understand, so have patience. Head downtown to the village for nice place to eat. You'll see them on 7 th Ave and off to the sides, just keep your eyes open. Has a clean, quieter, old town feel, upper scale, but not over the top. Kind of far walk but if you're healthy you can do it. By Times Square expect noise, smell, crowds, go go pace, but hey it's NY so don't expect relaxation, and peace. Overall hotel get's a B. NY experience get's a B.
Had a day from hell with flight delays.Arrived at the hotel at midnight to find there was no booking for us,this was due to travelosity incompetence.,the guy was more interested in blaming instead of finding us a place.Lorraine at the front desk was our guardian angel to the rescue, she was brilliant, she phoned arround until she was able to find us a place to stay. She gave us a complimentry breakfast, water and took us to the hotel. We were 2 very tired older people who received such kindness from her.We would reccommend Lorraine for any rewards the hotel gives.

This hotel has everything that 90% of people would want and would need. Convenient location, easy check in and check out, comfortable and clean room, and a good lobby. And the price is great. I paid 20 dollars to upgrade from the lowest priced room and it was large enough for two. I like to be pampered and to be in a charming hotel with great staff but it's hard to justify a hundred dollars or more to do so, especially in NYC where you're never inside the room.
