It was a great experience! we went backpacking to Washington DC for a weekend and this hotel was so close to everything. The mall was really close and the Pentagon. Access to rent the bikes right next to it. And on top of all the service was amazing. The breakfast was delicious and the Chef came to the table and was very nice. I really recommend this hotel, specially if you are going to visit Washington DC.
Travelocity did not make it obvious when it came to choosing a smoking or non-smoking room. I unknowingly reserved a smoking room & after checking out the room I decided, with my allergies, I could not stay there. The hotel was booked, so they kindly called up the motel across the street & set me up with a non-smoking room there & gave me a full refund!

Despite the fact that the hotel is under going a renovation project, this hotel was very clean, friendly and quiet. The only disruption we felt was the lack of a nice breakfast due to a lack of kitchen during the remodeling process. The location, close to Dupont Circle in the beautiful Embassy Row neighborhood, was very convenient to the Metro and bus service as well as restaurants. The door attendants were always helpful if you needed a taxi at any time. I will definitely stay there again.
The ramp to the front door was sort of inconveniently placed and a bit narrow for my walker-no room for another person to pass, but once inside, the hotel was easy to navigate. The room itself was comfortable, and all of the staff were friendly and helpful.
We stayed 4 nights. The staff were friendly and helpfully, although we had a seamless stay so no issues arose. Our room was mostly clean except some pieces of Oreos around a nightstand. The bed was comfortable, I like foam pillows not down or synthetic fiber so I didn't like the pillows but most people would. The halls and elevators were clean and quick. The pool was cleaned and staffed with a lifeguard, it wasn't warm enough for me but it was comfortable and the kids didn't notice. The hotel itself was quiet, you could hear the airplanes in the morning but Rossyln is in the flight path of DCA so considering that it really wasn't bad and certainly not disturbing. Wireless worked well but you had to sign in every day. The one down side was the thermostat is a "dummy", you can't adjust the temp of the room and we were kinda cold the first couple nights. It is about 3 blocks from the metro (on direct line to smithsonian and DCA) and 2 blocks from a bus to Dulles. We didn't eat at the restaurant and we were especially disappointed it wasn't open for breakfast on the weekends (you can get room service but we were minimizing the idea for the kids to be able to eat in a bedroom). Luckily Panera and MCDonald and Starbucks are open weekends and next to the metro. Overall I would return as it was convenient, comfortable, and clean.
