I booked this hotel for my sister. I had emailed the time she was coming in etc. She waited an hour before letting me know that no one had arrived to pick her up. I called the hotel and a very sassy lady said I should have contacted them. I mentioned that I had emailed the details, she was very rude and kept repeating that I should have called. My sister mentioned someone made it finally about 30 minutes later and she had to flag them down because they did not want to come to a complete stop. They did not offer area shuttle details upon check in. I would not recommend this hotel. I would rather have decent customer service. My sister did say that it was a very hot day and people were bristly , maybe that's a good excuse.
I stayed here because it is right next to the Metro station. They have recently completed the remodel and the place looks fabulous. It’s almost like a different hotel. The room was comfortable and quiet, room service and hotel staff excellent.
We stayed here on a very busy couple of days for the D.C. area. The city was celebrating the victory of the Capitals winning the Stanley Cup. The Cambria hotel staff did not miss a beat as they welcomed us to the hotel and immediately made us feel at home making sure we had enough towels and even getting some ice for us. I witnessed the general manager stop and pick up a small piece of debris and this action was consistent with the rest of the staff’s attention to detail. The property is only a short cab ride from all of the national mall attractions while still CO located with several convenient restaurants and even a large grocery store directly across the street. We enjoyed parking in the same building at a very competitive rate. Overall a great property.

great location for my meeting. Nice area in terms of walking around outside. Hotel was adequate in terms of room (it was quiet etc). Front desk staff seemed distracted. One was talking on the phone while trying to check me in. When I wanted to check out, computer system was down and they could not tell me even how much they were going to charge me for my room and whether it matched the travelocity price. My credit card had been billed extra the previous day in case there were incidentals and they could not say if that charge would be removed. Fitness center had 2 treadmills, both of which were broken. Hotel has great feature of free parking but they failed to say on website that they have very few spaces and not everyone will necessarily be able to park. Food at breakfast was lacking in things that were not highly processed (e.g., lack of fresh fruit choices except apples). Overall, I could live with the inconveniences for 1 night given the good location and the fact that I got one of the few parking spaces.
