"Clean and comfortable"
We loved the Maui Coast and would definitely come back. It's a great place for families if you're NOT looking for a big, flashy resort. Our room was surprisingly big (Junior Suite?) and was clean and modern. All of the staff were friendly, helpful and upbeat. The hotel is right in the middle of Kihei, but is set back from the street so it's quiet. It is a great launching spot for Southern Maui adventures.

"Great location but needs a refresh..."
We enjoyed the location but the room was super small is very dated/furniture needs to be replaced. We suggest seeing Judy at the Maui Lifestyle furniture store.. We stopped in there, and she was super helpful.

"Good Condo Close to the Beach for Families"
The room we had at the Maui Banyan was a Partial Ocean view 2 bedroom, 2 bath with a full kitchen, washer and dryer and air conditioning. The room had everything a family of 5 needs for vacation. This is a simple, not fancy place, but it has everything a family would need to have fun in Maui. It is also walking distance from Kamaole II & III Beach where there is great snorkeling and swimming in the mornings. The beds were comfortable too. Boogie Boards, fins, surf boards can be easily rented at businesses close to the hotel.

"Most comfortable bed, and right on the beach "
I had a better night's sleep than at home. It was quiet, right by the beach and close to quaint little shops.

"Beautiful View"
Our room had a beautiful view and amazing beach to swim/play in. Condo was very clean and the best stocked of any I've ever stayed in. Just know this is not a hotel but a managed time share resort. There are no staff available between 8am and 9pm. Late check ins have to call a number and unlock a box to key code to room. The power went off one night at 3am. There was an emergency number to call about power outages. No one answered that number. We got power back 12 hours later but no a/c. We called the front desk when we returned to the room and were told someone was on the way. We called back at 9pm that night and no one answered at the front desk or any emergency numbers. Went another night without air. At check out we were told that something was wrong with that buildings a/c unit. We were never asked if we wanted to move buildings or no communication at all from any staff. Overall beautiful place but no housekeeping or helpful staff.

This was a Condominium style accommodation which is a bit dated but very comfortable. There were no hotel services per se but renters of the Condos could use the swimming pool and tennis court facilities. There was also a reserved parking stall to go with the rental. The view from our fully equipped suite - Bldg.D, Rm. 613, was terrific, facing the ocean, from where we could enjoy the beautiful sunsets. It was the only bldg. that was horizontally oriented to the ocean thus giving us a neat view. The grounds were beautiful, the tropical bird sounds were grand. The management was helpful, and the NO SMOKING policy in any of the buildings were a great touch to those of us who dislike smelling stinky smoking. Hotel location vis-a-vis beach location and eateries was a bonus. The weather was also great but the waves were a bit too much to really enjoy the Kameole 2 beach across the street. We'll be back again - soon.

"Great Maui vacation in nice condo in Kihei. "
The condo was clean and what I expected. I have stayed at many condos before. The kitchen was filled with everything you needed. I do wish they had provided small things like salt and pepper. Very clean! They had an outside closet with beach chairs, snorkel gear and coolers which we utilized the coolers. The coolers were awesome and helped us save a lot of money. The bed was super comfortable. The rules were we had to have the airconditioner off by 10pm and it was 94 degrees so we kept it on. The couch bed for my daughter wasnt great but we knew a head of time. My only complaint was not enough towels. Only two beach towels and their were 4 of us. There were only 6 bathroom towels, so I was doing two loads of laundry a day due to sand and salt. Otherwise the place was great, with a wonderful location. I would would give this 4 stars and go there again. Aloha.

"Ok place with great pool and nice beach"
We had to find a temporary place before our other condo opened up. This place worked fine. It's dated, bed felt old, nasty carpet but all in all it works. Pool was great and was a nice location. Nice to have a kitchen and washer and dryer. We had what we needed. It just needs a major update.
