Description

Journey with Simba as he comes of age and realizes his royal destiny. Simba’s adventure is filled with moments of joy, fear, and love, which are all captured in Grammy and Academy Award-winning songs written by Elton John and Tim Rice.

The Lion King opens onstage with a call from the mystical Rafiki. Gradually the entire cast of African animals, brought to life by over 50 actors and dancers, is revealed as they sing “The Circle of Life” to join in the presentation of the newborn cub, Simba. The Pride Lands burst with vividly colored animals, which are actually human-powered puppets that freely walk up and down the aisles, giving you a close-up view of the intricate costumes.

After Simba’s welcome to the world, feel your heart race as Simba’s evil uncle, Scar, takes away all that Simba loves and chases him out of his homeland. The mood lightens as you laugh with Timon and Pumbaa when they teach Simba about an easy-going life philosophy called “Hakuna Matata.” Return to Pride Rock as Simba confronts Scar and reclaims his position as the true Lion King.
