Activity itinerary

Day 1: Nosy Be - Ankarana
  • 1 stop
  • Meals: snacks, lunch
  • Accommodation: Bungalows with private bathroom
Ankarana Special Reserve
  • 5h
  • Admission ticket included
The national park is made up of an immense limestone plain, once underwater, which has gradually resurfaced through plate tectonics. Erosion has progressively sculpted the limestone into the shape of sharp points, the Tsingy. The park can be visited through 8 itineraries of variable length. The Tsingys divide the park into two, a landscape of dry savannah and an evergreen forest. Crossed by numerous gorges and rivers, Ankarana also has the largest network of interconnected underground caves in Africa with a total length of 120km. Some of them can be visited, others are sacred. The caves of Ankarana, as well as the Tsingy, offer a particular habitat for specialized animals and plants. Blind fish, crabs, arachnids and bats. Eleven species of lemur live in the dry forest. With close attention many of the 60 species of reptiles can also be found including the panther chameleon or leaf-tailed geckos.
Day 2: Ankarana - Tsingy Rouge
  • 1 stop
  • Meals: lunch, snacks, breakfast
  • Accommodation: Bungalows with private bathroom
Tsingy Rouge Park
  • 2h
  • Admission ticket included
Tsing Rouge is a red laterite rock formation formed by the erosion of the Irodo River in the Diana region. Here the erosion is not a matter of centuries but of years. Thus, heavy rains or major floods can rapidly change the landscape of the Tsingy Rouge, destroying some parts and creating new ones. The Tsingy Rouge can be admired from three different locations, which can be accessed by car
Day 3: Tsingy Rouge - The Three Bays
  • 4 stops
  • Meals: breakfast, lunch, snacks
  • Accommodation: Bungalows with private bathroom
Sakalava
  • 2h
Surfers paradise. Long strip of white sand besieged by often impetuous waves. The community of kiters and surfers arriving from all over the world has always met here: it is the windiest area on the island, therefore perfect for kite surfing and boarding. The gusts also reach 25-30 knots. In this play of the wind and the fluctuating water, the clouds travel fast and paint extraordinary ever-changing designs on the sea. A show not to be missed .
Antsiranana (Diego Suarez)
  • 40m
there is only a strip of sand with a gentle dune dividing the bay of pigeons from the bay of dunes. Forget the impetus of the wind altogether: here too everything is harmony, in a place well sheltered from the very elements of nature. So much so that life regulates the rhythms here: sea turtles come to nest and the local authorities are well aware of this, as they pay particular attention to the inhabitants of this bay. In fact, in certain periods of the year it is not possible to access completely freely to respect these creatures.
Baie des Pigeons
  • 40m
  • Admission ticket included
A perfect landing place for those who want to visit practically deserted beaches. Also known as Baie des Pigeons, it offers the spectacle of a sea rich in shades from intense blue to turquoise, passing through the emerald that caresses soft white sands. Being a more sheltered bay than Sakalava , the waters are calm and the atmosphere is extremely relaxing .
Amber Mountain National Park
  • 4h
  • Admission ticket included
Montagne d'ambre National Park is a volcanic massif covered in lush montane rainforest and dotted with numerous lakes, rivers and waterfalls. Its biodiversity is exceptional, thanks to a much cooler and rainier micro-climate than the surrounding region. The trails in the park are well maintained and pass through forests of rare beauty leading to volcanic lakes, sacred waterfalls and exciting viewpoints.
Day 4: Diego Suarez and Mer D'Emeraude
  • 1 stop
  • Meals: breakfast, lunch, snacks
  • Accommodation: Bungalows with private bathroom
Mer D'Emeraude
  • 4h
  • Admission ticket included
The Emerald Sea is known for its spectacular colours. It can be reached with a boat trip and you can already see the thousand shades of blue and bright green spots from afar. After having approached a paradisiacal beach of white sand on which trees and palm trees bring some shade, you can enjoy the scenic beauty while waiting for lunch to be served. The show is breathtaking
Day 5: Diego Suarez - Nosy Be
  • 1 stop
  • Meals: breakfast, lunch
  • Accommodation: Not included
Ambanja
  • 40m
On the way back to Nosy Be we will stop in Ambanja to visit the cocoa plantation. Malagasy cocoa beans are famous all over the world. Even if local production represents only a share between 1 and 5% of world production, the island's cocoa is highly appreciated, above all because a rare species is produced here, the criollo, famous for its strong and slightly bitter taste
