The Barcelo Club del Lago All-Inclusive is located approximately two miles from Carlos Curbelo International Airport, seven miles from downtown Punta del Este, and 72 miles from Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay. There is an 18-hole golf course adjacent to the property.

Hotel amenities include tennis courts, swimming (in the heated indoor swimming pool, the outdoor swimming pool, beach house swimming pool, or at the hotel's beach on the Sauce Lagoon), children's area, children's pool, Jacuzzi, solarium, souvenir shop, watersports, spa treatments, 400 works of art, barbeque area, three restaurants, and three bars, panoramic terrace, including the pool bar. Dining facilities may not be fully operational during the off-season.

The all-inclusive plan covers a buffet breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, dinner, local drinks with meals, local drinks in the bars (as specified on the bar menus), newspapers and magazines, Internet, transportation to the golf course and summer beach club, day and nighttime activities programs, and use of the gym, sauna, canoes, table tennis, games, bicycles, surfboards, kayaks, and 10 tennis courts. For an additional fee, the hotel offers room service, use motorized vehicles, excursions and tours, therapies and treatments in the spa center, laundry service, golf classes and practice, and tennis lessons.
