When we return to DC, we will stay elsewhere. Room service failed to deliver our meal until after three phone calls and 3 hours had elapsed. Staff ranged from indifferent to incompetent, with the exception of housekeeping staff who were quite friendly. Evening reception was fine if you like chips and pretzels. The pool water was cloudy and dark. We often stay at Embassy Suites when we travel. We just won't stay at this one ever again.

We took our 6 and 4 year old children to D.C. and this hotel was perfect. The location is ideal, two blocks from the Metro and 2 Metro stops from the Washington Mall . The service was family friendly and professional, the suites were well equipped and nicely done, the huge and free buffet breakfast and free managers' cocktails were a welcome bonus--however, be prepared to wait on line. The price was extremely reasonable for Washington. We'll definitely return. The pool is perfect for young kids--3 feet deep all around. The gym was small, but well equipped.
