Fairmont Washington D.C. is located next to historic Georgetown. Hotel recently underwent a $12 million renovation. With its open, light-filled lobby, sun-drenched loggia and central garden courtyard, the Fairmont is a residential oasis. In addition, Fairmont Gold, an exclusive hotel within a hotel concept featuring 48 rooms and three suites on the entire 9th floor of the hotel brings the highest levels of service and pampering to the most discerning traveler. The newly renovated Juniper Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner specializing in mid-Atlantic fare from the Chesapeake Bay. The Colonnade offers an extensive Champagne Brunch on Sundays, and in room dining is available 24 hours a day. On the premises is a fitness center voted one of America's best hotel facilities. A pool, extensive workout equipment, and a host of spa services aim to meet the needs of each and every guest. An extra person fee of $30 per person per night will be charged. The Fairmont had wonderful service, clean rooms, upscale lobby and very comfortable. The spa was nice and the pool was warm, but the kids complained it closed too soon. The hotel is within walking distance of the Metro and great restaurants. It was an ideal location for a spring break trip. The only complaints were the restaurant-lunch was disappointing, but room service was great-and difficulty in cashing a check. We would definitely return for another stay.
