I called the night prior to request a wheelchair be held due to an untimely accident prior to leaving. The hotel staff assured me they would have one when we arrived. When we arrived, of course there was no note on the account nor was there an available wheelchair. Service was minimal at best on the floor. Rooms were clean and free of stale/musty/smokey odors. I did miss not having a coffee maker or a fridge.

We got married here 15 years ago and weren't sure what to expect upon our recent return. We were very pleasantly surprised -- the hotel is still beautiful and has been improved since our earlier visit. It has a very elegant, but not gaudy feel -- unlike so many Las Vegas hotels. The service was ecxcellent. A new wedding chapel is under consrtruction -- should be a lovely and intimate venue.

We have stayed at the Golden Nugget several times in the past, and each time we have had a great time. When we got there our rooms were not what we had wanted, but the front desk staff promptly corrected the situation. The new pool was awesome, with the shark tank, extra seating, pool bar, etc., it made the stay even better. The Golden Nugget has kept their hotel one of the best and we will defintely stay their again.

We tried to check into the hotel on an early Sunday morning. We were greeted with the most obnoxious, snotty young lady who very clearly made us feel like second class customers beause we booked with an online travel website. When I tried to talk to the manager on duty, they only sent her back out to "help" me. This was a 35th anniversary trip and this hotel did not do any thing to warrant any outstanding from us.

A 60 year old hotel that seems brand new. Great off-strip location with quick and easy access to all things "Vegas". Great parking, beautifully appointed, fabulous variety of restaurants serving excellent cuisine. Large, comfortable rooms with great beds, quality linen and an abundance of towels. The new shark tank within the people swimming pool is incredible and the 3 story water slide passing through it is unbelievable! The friendly staff make your stay as quiet and comfy or as exciting as you require.

I have been coming to the Golden Nugget for many years. This is the first year I was disappointed. 1. No coffee in the rooms (Starbucks installed $12 for 2 cups of coffee and 2 muffins!!!. 2. The buffet on Sat was $17 each and was worst buffet I ever attended. 4. Ads state newspapers delivered to rooms, we received no newspapers. 5. Tried calling the main desk for help and was told "be with you momentarily, but waited over 8 minutes and hung up. Extremely DISAPPOINTED. Used to love going there to get away.

We booked last minute for 1 night. We usually stay on the strip, but it was one of the few reasonably priced hotels on Saturday night. Very satisfied with quality of rooms, front desk staff, hotel decor. New pool/ aquarium area looks very nice. Probably the best choice on Fremont and you can enjoy your morning Starbucks outside overlooking other casinos. Lots of penny games here and nearby! Only disappointment was the seafood buffet--quality of seafood not the best. I'd stay here again!

My wife and I spent 4 days in Las Vegas. We have stayed at the Nugget before and noticed the improvements immediately. Landry's has done an excellent job since they bought the complex. Everything from the casino to the restaurants were first rate. My only two "minor" complaints were the rock hard beds in the rooms and the lack of cocktail service while gambling. My wife is sold on Downtown because of the Nugget and we will definitely be back. Our friends that were travelling with us will be staying at the Nugget next time as wellPlease keep up the good work!!!

Although check-in was difficult - computers were down, so room keys couldn't be issued, we killed time easily by walking around the shark tank overlooking the pool. As promised, our room keys were available a short time later. We couldn't order drinks from any of the bars on the second day; the bartenders said the "system was down" and it controlled the cash register. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Fremont Street is certainly up and coming, and was a good change from the new strip. Being able to take a short walk from casino to casino was wonderful.

We are planning on coming back and bringing our kids,. The pool area is beautiful, and the water slide looks like it would be a kick. The aqaurium adds a very nice touch, and I can see myself laying by the pool relaxing while our boys have a blast in the pool . Would definetely stay there again!!!

Had south tower room, used the back lobby, minimal casino effect. Very clean, updated rooms. Ate at The Grotto and Buffet. Surpassed our expectations. Music volume at the pool & Freemont Street deafening! I would avoid Freemont at night. Area around hotel, Freemont, up to the strip, not great. We had a car, this wasn't an issue. We will not be staying here again, which is a shame because we really enjoyed being downtown. This was our 5th visit to Vegas in the past 6 years. Most of the old time great employees are gone. I called maintenance twice to fix a problem in my room and they never showed up.
