Details about Bellagio

Bellagio Description

Built on more than 120 acres and situated at the four corners of the Las Vegas Strip, the Bellagio is three miles from McCarran International Airport. Local attractions include the Las Vegas Convention Center, located two and one-half miles from the hotel, and the Hoover Dam, located 32 miles from the resort. The world famous Fountains of Bellagio feature choreographed streams of water which conduct a show to the sounds of classical music and opera.

Bellagio's lobby features 2,000 hand-blown glass flowers created by Dale Chihuly. The Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens contain exotic plants. There is also an onsite Gallery of Fine Art, currently featuring works by Ansel Adams (general admission is $15). The hotel's outdoor pool area resembles a Mediterranean villa, is open year-round, and includes a courtyard, a whirlpool, and cabanas for rent. Gambling guests can try their luck at one of more than 2,700 slot machines, 140 gaming tables, and 30 poker tables, not to mention the race and sports book. The full-service spa offers massage therapies, beauty treatments, a fitness center, and fitness classes. Live entertainment includes performances of O by Cirque du Soleil. Several high-end boutique shops are located throughout the Bellagio's grounds. Rounding out the amenities are the full-service business center, valet parking, tour assistance, golfing arrangements, and two wedding chapels.

Fine dining options include Le Cirque, Circo, Prime Steakhouse, Picasso, Michael Mina's seafood restaurant, Jasmine, and Shintaro. Guests may partake in casual dining with at Sensei, Olives, Noodles, FIX Restaurant & Bar, Cafe Bellagio, the Buffet, and the Pool Cafe. In addition, the Bellagio also offers four quick-dining establishments, five onsite bars, Jean-Philippe Patisserie, and the nightclub, Light.

Guestrooms feature minibars, irons and ironing boards, dual-line telephones, dataports, high-speed Internet access, and bathrobes.

You'd be treated like a king anywhere else if you spent as much as you'll spend here. Here, you're just another schmuck paying $8 for a bottle of water. Housekeeping knocked on our door at 10:30PM. NOTHING is free or even reasonably-priced in this hotel. They would charge you for the air that you breathe if they could.

Spent 4 nights in January. Hotel was super crowded (big convention in town), paid almost $400/night (no breakfast included). For that type of rate I did expect a luxury treat, but rooms were just Ok, service "bland", food just acceptable. I expected much more, so I'm kind off disappointed. Will look elsewhere next time I come to Vegas.

Our stay was hassle-free. There was a lot of walking, as this is a huge hotel, but it helped walk off the great meals we had at their buffet and (Olives) restaurant. Wish there was some way to offer the guests time in the Conservatory - beautiful, but so much noise and flashes from cameras, from non-guests, that it was hard to enjoy it, except from afar.

This place is beautiful. For a non-smoker, I noticed that the casino here is not as smokey as the others. The only thing that bothered me was the room elevators were all way to the back of the hotel. You have to walk a long way to get to your rooms. Wear comfortable shoes.

I had a great room, with a nice view. The room was clean, great setting, however the staff was not that friendly. I noticed people could not enjoy many areas of the hotel, classes are very noticeable, you must be VIP and have a lot of money to enjoy it.

My husband and I were extremely impressed with The Bellagio. It is beautiful both inside and out. The beds are very comfortable and the room was clean and well-maintained. We've stayed at many upscale hotels and this was among the best. There were two small disappointments, though. The lines for check-in and concierge were very long and confusing. Also, we thought it would be nice if guests could get priority seating for the restaurants/buffet. We highly recommend The Bellagio.

The hotel is so beautiful and classy compared to others on the strip. Every employee was more than gracious and any concerns were handled immediately as well as pleasantly. The flower arrangements are incredible and the garden in the atrium is unbelievable. The room was large and spacious and so was the bathroom. We were so well attended to. Room service was great and when my hairdryer didn't work I was taken care of immediately. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely chose this hotel the next time I'm in Las Vegas.

At check in we had to wait for a room. When we got a room the keys did not work and the second set did not work. They did not offer any comps for the inconvenience of having to walk back and forth and try to get someones attention behind the counter. The manager was back there but just kept his head down and never looked up. The overall end result was disappointing in that the hotel never acknowledged the hassle of dragging our bags around and the inconvenience of dealing with the busy check-in desk more than once.

Hotel is nice but not a 4 star. The fountain shows are nice, we had a room with a great view of them. The problem is that the staff at the hotel does not make you feel welcome. We also had to wait until after dinner for our room to be cleaned.Try some of the newer hotels. For the price of the hotel and food you would expect better.

From the helpful staff to the large, well appointed rooms, Bellagio is still the class of Vegas. The casino may be slightly stuffy and the restauarants may not be the absolute best (we found Venetian's restaurants slightly better), but for quality of rooms and luxury, Bellagio can't be beat.
